For what its worth

I noticed we play Hawthorn at home. It got me remembering the first time we played Hawthorn at home. 86 points later .... the dream had started.

So why not use our first jumper for this round. Screw the 70s man, if you remember the 70s you werent really living ;) . We can shout out Dermies a ****er again .

I do like the idea of coming along in our SANFL jumpers. Multi coloured crowd would add a lot to the game.

I also think we can do a lap of honour for those players who played in that first game.

It would be great to see us run around in the old tricolours, it really would. Unfortunately it is unlikely, but just thinking about that fateful game, really puts a smile on the old dial. I just wish I could say that I was there, but I wasn't.

I was and it was great. Dermie's hit on McDermott was the spark for a bit of push and shove. We even had a year book out.

Yeah I would have turned 4 the week before the game, so I think I would have been more interested in sleeping than actually watching the game. I can at least tell you where I was, I was at my Nana's house sleeping in my bed, with the radio above my head. If it was on, it would have been tuned into the footy, but to be honest that was 16 years ago, so I wouldn't have a clue in that regard.
