Who do you think will be the ins and outs vs West Coast this weekend?
For mine,
OUT: Osbourne (stiff), Guerra (stiff)
IN: Vanders, Jacobs
Osbourne and Guerra are definitely stiff (if Vanders and Jacobs are both deemed fit to play), but I really can't see us (and feel it would be a mistake), dropping either McGlynn or Young - who to me seem like the players who 'could' be dropped.
We're facing a tough unit in the West Coast Eagles (particularly their dynamic midfield) - and McGlynn and Young provide us with the kind of run we desperately need.
Really wanted to fit Thorp in for Dixon, but I doubt it'll happen.

Guerra no way. He is our best kick-in player. Lets see what happens at training. With the competition to get a position injuries could impact during the week.

for someone who is such a good kick he sure turns the ball over a lot

Smith must be in the mix - didn't think his BH form was good enough to get him a game on Saturday. Unfortunately my opinion wasn't enhanced on Sat night.

In danger:
Osborne, Guerra, Smith, Dixon.
Now i doubt more than 1 of those will be dropped for either Jacobs/Vanders. As much as the first 3 frustrate, they have what AC likes, combination of toughness, run and solid disposal (perception doesnt neccesarily support reality).
Dixon is from what i read is needed to give experience to the forward line (i dont necessarily buy that, but since he didnt get dropped after 0 poss, he isnt going to get dropped this week i dont think).
Jacobs could be given another week at BH given WC are a small running team, while Vanders is a fringe player no need to squeeze him in to out someone similar.
Its more than likely we'll lose this week, just the facts of the matter, and some player will get shown up. Make changes then, instead of after a good win. Thorp, Jacobs, Vanders to be in against Port.

Mate no brainer omit Osbourne, Smith and Dixon - Bring in Vanders, Jacobs and Thorp with his first run in front of his home crowd. Before you say does he deserve it kicked six for box hill and dixon has done nothing for the past two weeks. So I think Thorp has earned his spot and to be honest I am salivating at the thought of watching a forward line with Buddy, Roughie, Boyle and our own Thorpedo.

In a big game thats gonna be hard and tough you would expect your Capt to be included however, reading into things said by club, I think they are going to give him another run in the magoos.
I respect Vanda, but it really is looking like becoming an embarassing problem for us when your capt is not an auto inclusion after a run in the 2's. Apart from Ossie's silly frees I dont think much else separates them as players and Ossie is a lot fitter at the moment.
Jacobs needs to come in, but I cant think who for. Maybe replace a small, which I think would be Ossie anyway, or perhaps Smith.
Cant afford the sentimental(ie in Tas) inclusion of Thorp just yet, and I wouldnt debut him in Adelaide either. If keeps his form though I would put him in against Syd as I think with him in, we could really expose their defence.

could agree more...and not just from kick outs...if you are playing finals you cant have a guy like him in the tream...it will cost us big time!

Not only that, also has not alot of second efforts.....whilst Ozzie is turning the ball over more than he doesn't...
OUT: Osborne, Smith
IN: Vandenberg, Jacobs
Getting close to full strength (bar obviously Williams).
Dixon probably keeps his spot for experience up forward.
In: Jacobs, Thorpe
Out: Smith, Osborne
no reason behind it... i just want to see DJ back in the game, he's important. And thorpey i want in the side coz he deserves to be in.
And maybe X.Ellis, as he is in my dream team! :D

Out: Osborne
In: Vandenburg
I think this will be our only change this week.
I would love Jaccobs back but can't see anyone else being dropped. Smith will be given 3 weeks at least to get back to full fittness.
Thorp in Tassie very tempting but Dicko will get another chance and rightfully so. :thumbsu:
Exciting times when 3 - 4 players who deserve a game are being left out due to our depth. :D :D :thumbsu:

Dont think we can drop Smithy - he always plays well down South.

Pity Williams is out. One player that seems to lift for West Coast and always slots a few..
Selection hard this week. Dont think theyll drop Smith, Osbrone is probs a certainty to be down at BHH..

Osborne will go down. Frankly, I would rather have seen Moss stay up for the Saints game than Michael.
Guerra should go with him.
Dixon needs to lift bigtime, but will probably get another chance on structural grounds.
I honestly don't see the need to rush Thorp into the side on the strength of one strong Box Hill performance.
Franklin & Boyle are fine and Roughead needs prolonged time up forward.
I'd only bring Thorp in if any of these three has a poor run of form OR sustains an injury.
Vandenberg & Jacobs for Osborne & Guerra for mine.

I'd expect Vanders and Jacobs to come in as Box Hill dont have a game this week due to the VFL state match vs WAFL.

Have to laugh at those who believe Guerra should be dropped after last week.
He was in our top three.
Dixon, Smith and Osborne were our bottom three if you are looking anywhere.
