What is the best Carlton match squad you can list? It can consist of past and/or present players. But it is interesting to see peoples different opinions.
The current team of the century is:
B: Bruce Comben Stephen Silvagni*
Geoff Southby HB: John James Bert Deacon Bruce Doull* C: Garry Crane Greg Williams* Craig Bradley HF: Wayne Johnston Stephen Kernahan (Captain) Alex Jesaulenko* F: Ken Hands Harry Vallence Rod Ashman Foll: John Nicholls* Sergio Silvagni Adrian Gallagher Int: Robert Walls Mike Fitzpatrick Ken Hunter
Four Emergencies: (1) Laurie Kerr, (2) Bob Chitty, (3) Horrie Clover and (4) Rod McGregor Coach: David Parkin.
The 5 players with an asterisk(*) are also members of the AFL Team of the Century

Born in the 80s so can't really remember much before say 1993ish.
B: Andrew McKay, SOS
HB:
C:
HF:
F:
Coach - without a doubt, Parkin.
haha actually i'll stop right now ,because i was just about to write the whole 1995 team, with extras of Fevola and Murphy in the team.
Wow, imagine how much Murphy would have learnt from being in that team!!!

i too was born in the 80's 1984 to be exact, but my uncle has the videos of the 81-82 flags so i've seen a bit of the 80's teams and thanks to the ABC2 show that i cant remember the name of at the minute, i've seen earlier GF winning teams, so i have sort of a broad (yet small...work that one out) knowlege of carlton players over the years. having said that it might be heavily 90's orientated, but we'll see how we go.
B:Southby, St. Silvagni, D. McKay
HB:Rhys-Jones, Doull, A. McKay
C:Kouta, Ratten,Bradley
HF:Wayne Johnstone,S. Kernahan, Jesaulenko
F:Fevola, Vallence, Ashman
Foll:Nicholls, Se. Silvagni, Williams
bench:Hunter, Fitzpatrick, Marc Murphy, J. Madden
Coach: David Parkin
so there we go folks. i didn't name Emg's cause well. it was too hard to decide who gets a look in but i'd love that side to be running about at the minute. oh and kouta on the wing was 95 kouta.

Same as the team of the century with only McKay, Ratten and Koutoufides to come in somewhere. Fev a couple of good years including a century from taking the FF spot.

He was a quality player, a step above IMO.
