Yeh, leave it to the boys that's for sure!!!
The closest I've come to playing footy is kick to kick with my brother when I was young.... - it was only the two of us, he didnt have a brother to kick to, so I was it for him....

I was the original coach of the Melville Warriors in the WAWFL back in 1988, sadly now called the Melville Dockers.
I can say I enjoyed the experience and some of those girls were very talented and exciting to watch, sure 95% of them are butch and bat for the same side, but sexual preference mattered not to me, these girls gave it a red hot go and the competition has risen in stature.
As a coach, I did have a favourite player who went on to play for the State and win numerous awards. Many of those girls were good footballers, I would not knock their courage or commitment.
Onya girls, still proud of you after almost 20 years. :thumbsu:

currently play in the AFLQLD 2nd division(sort of like the equivalent of the WAFL reserves in WA, but no call ups) for Maroochy/North Shore Roos, but have only played 2 games this season coz of injury so when I get back It'll probably be off to the local comp to get match fit.

I play B-Grade Ressies but with a new coach am struggling with opportunities, so the season isnt going too well at all!
Another club has asked a few of us to come play for them so am weighing up options. Most likely wont this season but perhaps next year.
