With all the scores coming out of English Test, and County cricket
Australians playing State cricket, must wonder, why there is a huge gap.
Also how does England and Windies justify playing a test that would constitute a very good State match....
We should send a State team over to England to play in their County Comp.. this would lift their comp and peoples imagination cricket in the UK would be more interesting.
Also TV rights for one dayers would increase
I'd go to all their games, get beered up & create a nasty atmosphere, I'd get a few thousand other hooligans to join me.
BTW does anyone have the scorecard for when they played a county champions v Sheffield Shield winners match back in the 80s over here.It was like the world club challenge in rugby league.They only did it once, I think the English side was Essex but can't remember the result.
When are we gonna gte our Sheffield Shield back as well?

I don't really know what all the hoohaa is about - clearly an 18 team comp will not be the same quality as a 6 team one.
Surely a good contest would be a state team v region

Eh, if the state 2nd XI's can beat nations, they why bother?
I bet the NT 2nd XI would push for a World Cup Win
