Geelong: Up and about! Win against Port was significant, but they've been in this position before. We'll have to wait till the business end to realy see how good they are!

St Kilda: Injuries

Bulldogs: Play well against bad sides but anyone above them so pretty much Adelaide, West Coasr and Sydney they look really bad.

Collingwood: Excitng young list

Hawthorn:See above plus B.Franklin

You'd have to say Geelong although I do have a spot soft for the Hawks

Explain how we beat Geelong , collingwood and hawthorn. They all must be bad sides.

None of the teams listed above. Definately the Kangas. You don't win 6 in a row without being some kind of a decent side. Not sure how you could leave them out of this survey considering they are on the same ponits if not more than all the other teams. Shows bias. If you are going to make a poll, atleast make it decent where you give all options possible, even if it may not seem likely to you.

I'm not convinced on the roos yet. I know they have won 6 in a row but i think that have just been extremely lucky and are playing well above themselves. If they were winning 6 in a row toward the business end of the season then maybe but in reallity if they were to make the finals there style of play just owuldn't hold up in a finals situation. You can only rely on Simpson, Boomer and Wells so much. This is just my opinion though. Basically you've hit your peak and its coming at the wrong time.

Kangas should be on the poll, but no sensible fan would call them Vics biggest threat.

I've got them at 4 behind us, the pies and the dogs.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how they go against the Coasters this weekend, even if they do win it will be more due to the fact that the Eagles are so depleted rather than there good footy.

I watched them on the weekend aganst my team and in my opinion there were some worrying signs. To only beat a side that is 0-9 with out some of its quallity players eg Sylvia, Whelan, Yze, Bate, Rivers and Bartram for me was enough to suggest that there winning form is on the slide. Nathan Thompson going down will really hurt them.

Geelong. They have a very good list and finally Bomber has the team playing near their best footy. Obviously there's still a long way to go, and Geelong are notorious chokers in finals, but they're still Victoria's best chance.

Next best is the Bulldogs. They haven't played their best football yet and are still waiting for the return of Chris Grant. They'll get better, but the Dogs have proven to be a bit vulnerable when put under real pressure by quality opposition.

Hawthorn's going along nicely at the moment, but they simply don't have the quality to go all the way yet. Watch out in the next few seasons, though...

Collingwood's in a similar boat to Hawthorn. Some very good young kids who stick well to the gameplan and do all the one percenters. Malthouse is a terrific coach who is really getting the best out of his list at the moment. But they won't sustain it. Young teams rarely do.

North Melbourne's won six in a row, which is significant, but look at who they've beaten in the last three weeks before you get too excited. Melbourne, Carlton and Essendon minus Lloyd. North still doesn't have the quality. I doubt they'll even play finals.

St. Kilda. If they had their best team out on the park, you might rate them along with Geelong and the Bulldogs. But with so many injuries, it's going to be a struggle to even make the finals from here. They're way too far behind the eight ball to seriously consider for a flag.

The team that can win interstate on a consistant basis.

That's narrowed it down to Collingwood.

Yeah wells was pretty handy against you guys... oh wait he's out at the moment and we're still winnning... i thought swallow wasn't bad against you guys, mcintosh was ok, smith was decent in defence, as was petrie, lindsay thomas had a couple of important plays, campbell chipped in with a couple of goals, edwards took some nice marks etc.

well it hasn't hurt us yet - 3rd highest scoring team in the comp... btw we were missing our 2 best players (thommo, wells) against your mob and if we had of kicked straight the game was over at 3 quarter time.

then look at who we beat before that - geelong and sydney. you can only beat the sides who are on the park. after this weekend 7 of our 10 games will have been against the top 9 sides on the ladder. we should have beaten collingwood in round 1, had we, then we'd be outright 2nd on the ladder with a chance to be a game clear on top if we beat west coast this weekend. no doubt kangas should be in this pole.

Look, they were very impressive wins - all I'm saying is that it won't be sustained. Clearly Geelong wasn't at their peak at the time and Sydney have started the last few seasons very slowly. Seems to be a habit with the Swans.

But if you delusional North fans think you're a chance at the flag this year, then I am very happy to leave you to your fantasies. :)

I dont think we are a chance, but I hate ***** that think just because we beat teams, that the other teams were "down".

Remember, you only just beat us, so you must not rate Port ey?

I don't rate Port much, no. Our start flattered us. We'll be doing well to make the finals.

No offence to the OP but Hawthorn shouldn't be in this poll...

Cats and Pies a real chance

Kangas and Dogs a slight chance

Hawks are miles in front of the Roos. You guys just defeated the the defending premiers an dhave beaten Geelong. Don't try and play down yoru chances. The hawks are well up there and should be making up numbers from 5-8th.

Hate the pies but they may finish top at rd 22. Just look at the draw ahead u will see y. Anythin can happen but highly doubt they could win both a prelim and a granny with the list being so young.

Cats are every chance when they bring their game.

Dogs are downhill skiers. Can make prelim but once they get there it will be to much.

Hawks will slowly fall away but i think might make the 8. Can get to a semi.

Saints are to injury riddled and things wont change. More injuries will come will never ever settle. Its unfair but they need to do something about the management.

Roos should be listed. Feel sorry for them as deep down ppl know they wont win it. They are 6 and 3 should be 7 and 2 so deserved to be listed. Stranger things have happened. But not as strange as another Vic side like carlton essendon richmond or the dees getting up from here.
