Did i see on another thread that somebody claimed he had gout? Not sure what to think. Poster of this thread: lay down your source or state that you just made it up because you had nothing better to do because your mother took away your pack of matches...
i mean that in a nice way:)

Power only did stationary work on Wednesday, but this is nothing unusual.
Who knows.
Scott Harding would come in for him I imagine, seems the closest match.

Sometimes bee dee is right - for example the All Australian team last year was a good scoop. Sometimes bee dee is wrong - for example Jonathan Brown did not miss the year through injury. If Power plays I will presume bee dee's sources up here aren't very reliable.

Actually, he was in and out of the main group, did some drills but not others. Started with the main group, then ran some laps, then back for some skills work with the rest, then had an early mark. Didn't look in any discomfort or ill.

Not our Power, he means Port Power.

I'll bet anything it's to do with him having a light session on Wednesday.

Bee Dee is on the mark.
DanielCanberra just phoned me, Luke Power isn't at training.
Power has been left in Brisbane, couldn't come up after a thigh injury. They are taking Wood, Harding and J.McDonald.
Wood may play
Harding should play, lesser opposition and more game time might give him a good chance to shine
J.McDonald is a dud

Could that mean someone else is in doubt or do you guys always fly over extra emergencies?
How did Brown train?

We normally only fly one emergency down, but the Player Sponsors Function is being held in Melbourne this weekend so I imagine they flew all three down for that.
Brown trained the full session with no problems.
Power is definately out for tomorrow nights match.

Only bases his "scoops" on listening to SEN around the clock. He sometimes puts 2 and 2 together, but a lot of the times the sum ends up back at zero. Used to have a scattergun approach. Now he picks the most realistic sounding report and goes with it.
No difference to me reading an article in inside footy and relaying it before anyone else has the chance to.
Seeing this one was mentioned on SEN before he posted it, it's harly inside knowledge

Fact: 1st mention of Power was 9.30am on KB show on Friday morning.
Fact: Roughly 12hrs after i mentioned it on here.

I heard them mention on SEN on Thursday that Luke Power didnt train the full session.
I wasn't too miffed by that because he rarely does the full Wednesday session lately anyway.

You give it to him BeeDee. Some of us are not happy with the way this site is being moderated lately. Very autocratic and dictatorial. These new mods think they are right all the time and can just jerk us around.
The "Circle Jerking Tribe" are organising a coup. If you are free to join us you'd be most welcome.
Ever since the new mods have been appointed it's been nothing but disharmony and angst here. Give me the good ol' days any time.

As an impartial reader of this thread it amuses me that first Bee Dee's announcement of Power's omission was met with derision and once it was confirmed it was merely minimised by saying he listened to the radio. That may be correct but he was right. No one else picked up on it. Why the hostility?

I know this is going back a while but do you guys remember Danni? Now there was a mod who knew what she was doing. These guys nower days...
irel, Quigs, am I missing something here? The new mods have barely warmed their seats and from what I have seen, have not had the time to do much - good or bad.

I have now and again been an umpire in my day and it's a learning curve. But I must admit it's a learning curve. Easy on the throttle I say.
Sorry just teasing weevil and tfb and I am sure Irel was as well. I probably should use an emoticon.

That's the problem with internet, don't get to see people's facial expressions or the tone in their voice. Some things can be taken out of context.
Yeah and I am lazy as well which doesn't help things along.
I think weevil and the belgian will do a great job. I always value their opinion on things even when I disagree with it. There position is always thought out and worth considering. (A little gratitutous sucking up to the mods never hurts ;) )

You're right, I didn't look at your posting time and for that I apologise.
But it seems I cut a little close to the bone there. If I had the time to go through your posts I'm sure the sucess rate wouldn't be good. I stand by my contention that your ego gets a little boost eevry time your discussed on these forums and that you're more likely to be wrong than right.

Because I've seen too many of his thread on the main board where he goes for the scoop only to get egg on his face.
It's not hostility. Far from it. Just amusement.

Hasn't been much to do so far. Hope it stays that way - you're not the only ones who are lazy!

This  indicates sarcasm. I am told that it's the lowest form of wit, so I guess it's not surprising that the humor in my post was missed!
Cheers
Thanks for clearing it up. In truth it was probably I who missed the obvious. I just remember at the time thinking why would irel or Quigs say such things... :o

I told some one when we're Powerless, we're -2 goals on the scoreboard (either direct from himself or setting up), I think I was right in saying that, as we sure coul've had +2 goals at the end of the night.

brown kicking a goal in the last qtr would have put us 3 and a half goals up, that would have been the difference, if we had a gun CHF that kicked straight when it mattered.
im sick of him dominating matches and kicking 2.5

Kicked 2.1 and played very hard all night, I saw about 90% of his posessions and he directly assisted in 2 goals, I can remember.
His form is rising, and he'll be getting better.
