so according to him we need to trade bruce, robo, white, green and trav

im not saying definitely dont trade all of them and i did not read any of the article bar 1 paragraph

basically the jist was we need to trade for young guns and his reasoning behind robo was that he only kicked 44 goals last year in 22 games and he needs a change of scenary to prove himself at a new club

is he for real does he ever think about wat he says of course he didnt take into account robo played injured all last year or that he got sh*thouse delivery from mids

i refuse to be brought down to his level of brainpower by ever reading another on of his articles

The only player who I would not mind letting go of is Brad Green get a bit of value for him, 15-20 methinks

I would consider letting go Trav or Green in a deal for first round draft picks/ key position backmen/ a centre half forward / Chris Judd.

Bruce, White and Robbo can play out their career at us as far as I'm concerned.

Not that I want to trade them anyway but ask yourself who is going to want White or Robbo at this point of their career? This isn't the mid 90's where you could trade people with 200 games to Fitzroy for a first round pick. You will get NOTHING for those two - so why would you even consider trading them after all they've done for us?

Peanut article.

The crap he wrote about Robbo was the worst, especially saying he was poor last year when he battled the whole time with a dodgy knee, absolute rubbish.

And I think he forgot Hawthorn have won nothing yet, absolutley nothing and the only reason people like them is based on the improvement, what will happen if Franklin and Roughead have hit their peaks? I'm watching the replay right now and of our game and hes jumping right on the crows in the 4th quarter, he is pathetic.

White has no more than 2 years to go. Is worth nothing on the trade table.
Robbo is the heart and soul of the club and the player and supporter backlash would be far more destructive than what any possitive a trade would bring.
Green, Bruce and Johnno could all be considered as trade bait but only for something really significant in return.

Walls hates Melbourne and is a mental midget.

Wall's lost any credence as a Football commentator when it was revealed what he thought was a character building exercise when he was a Coach:eek:

Robbo is the heart and soul of the team, very lazy "journalism" by Walls to suggest that we should trade him. If he has ever seen us play, he will notice how important it is for us to have Neita and Robbo operating inside the forward 50. Without one of them, our whole structure collapses.

White is our only competitive ruckman, as much as he frustrates me at times, he is still important purely because we have no adequate replacements at this stage. Plus he is 30 so who would trade for him?

He really is an idiot.
To be honest I'd trade any of TJ, Green and Bruce it if was going to benefit the club, but Robbo puts in 110% every week, last year he still kicked 40+ goals with a bung knee, and no club would go after White as he is the wrong side of 30 and we don't have an adequate replacement yet.
**** Walls, I also think we can afford to make a few trades, but he really is an idiot with some of his suggestions.

If it takes an article by a failed coach to fire up these players, then I would sack the lot of them.
