This has been done before but it is of value. We have seen football dynasties by the Tiges and the Hawkers who have spawned 3 decades of coaches. The Lions 3 peat will produce coaches, I have been impressed by their self expression and intelligence, maybe that's why we won three. So far we have Craig McCrae, Brad Scott in the system, Chris to follow. Martin Pike also impresses me with his incisive comments about footy. Only a matter of time before a club picks him up as an assistant coach. Vossy, well he will coach, just a matter of time. Lynchy has turned into an excellent media person, just says the right thing all the time and is highly intuitive. Who will else follow do you think? By the way the Lions have 2 coaches in the league now, Roosey and Lyons.
what about Rog?
i think you've pretty much nailed the list already...
vossy, mcrae and brad scott seem natural choices and i'll accept the judgement of others as to pikey's credentials because my lasting memory of him was the larrikin who tried to punch on with the CEO (or something like that?) at the GPO
if i had to pick a smokey, i'd pick CJ...he reminds me a lot of leigh in the way he plays the game...you get the impression that he has listened to the Great One and learned well - he started as a *ahem* portly forward of sporadic brilliance and leigh oversaw his transition into one of the most damaging small defenders to have played the game
johnno seems to have an likable manner off the field and on it he is held in a regard that mixes respect with an edge of fear - he is an exceptionally canny footballer and i have no doubt he would make an excellent defensive coach in an afl program
he would come with the added bonus of being able to play a player welfare/liaison officer role for the indigenous lads at a club
with the increased importance of the fleet-footed ball carriers in the modern game, the immaculate skills of the Aboriginal players are increasingly in demand
i am sure CJ would be an awesome pick-up for a club, especially one wanting to bridge the cultural gap for their skillful young recruits from NT, northern WA or central Australia

And Craig Lambert, Shaun Hart. Lynch is also a specialist coach in the AFLQ with Redlands.

That explains some of the missed punches the Redlands players threw at JMac :P

Possibly but I think it was we're all too short to hit him in the head so why try.
Where were you sitting at the game, I was waiting for you with cold beverages.

I won't be there, don't think it will be like the last time we played. You guys can't be that bad twice and we are missing a couple of our better players. If we play like we did last week against Mt Gravatt it will be good but still have a long way to go.
