No, he was at the MCG. As was Ben Holland for some reason.

Another 5 for Juice, pfft.
Shame we can't really afford to drop anyone after that performance.

Hayes is back playing I see?
Maybe Frawley could make way for Newton. He did a few good things today but wasn't given much game time and isn't giving much to the team at the moment. Give Newton a crack!

No Frawley would leave us too short at the back, I thought Spud was pretty good today, firstly on Perrie and then when he went on to Stevens.
He also gives us a bit of extra run.

Yeah it would be tough to drop him but I'm desperate to give Newton a crack finally while he is still in good form! Knowing our luck, some random injury will free up a spot though.

Speaking of which, anyone know the extent of davey's injury he picked up late in the game? Looked like just a jarred knee and he didn't seem to worried about it, but our luck with injuries has been atrocious this year.

Probably just a scratch, which means 4+ weeks this year.
We'll need to bring back Holland probably for the Pies game as they have some big key forwards. Rocca maybe? Carroll will probably take Buckley.

Selection issues, how good is that!!! Good to see Pickett in the best, he's still along way off a game.
Neitz, Robbo, Bate, Davey, Sylvia, Dunn, Newton, Yze, - how do you fit all that into one forward line this week. Sylvia might have to miss, love his hardness but is a bit of a waste if only playing 50%, do we pick Yze on prior QB form, can Dunn play along side Bate, or should we go with more smalls. And is it time for the arrival of Juice, love to see all the old members yelling who is that number 29 - its not David is it, or Robbo - after he tears the pies apart.
Looking at the other end of the ground, alot of the matched ups and selections depend on Rivers and Whelan been available to play. Does anyone know what chance they are? I'd love to see Bell demolish Didak. And batram class who is next to be added to Godfrey's victim list.

As good as yesterdays win was, we still have some problems with our forward line.

Dunn was unlucky to be dropped and backed it up with 4 goals, while Newton again dominated with 5 goals. Good to see the youngsters are having a crack and making a genuine claim for a spot in the team.

How good was Bate yesterday? played Millers role but actually did something strong marking and a great presence up forward. Really proud of Jones as well he was tough, threw down some great tackles, and kicked some goals. Finaly a win, what a great feeling!

I loved Jones's contested mark!
Newton has to play before Dunn and Miller get another go.
