Don't get too excited, Godfrey was even worse than his usual self when he had the ball.
What does everyone think of the decision to tag Thompson instead of Goodwin.

Don't get too excited, Godfrey was even worse than his usual self when he had the ball.

McDonald was tagging Goodwin, who did nothing as well. :thumbsu:

I think goodwin was still tagged but to a lesser extent than thompson. It seemed like Mcdonald and Bruce were rotating on him. But I actually think it was one of Daniher's smarter moves to put godfrey on thompson for a couple of reasons.
Thompson usually tears us to shreds ( a la every other ex dees player)
Godfrey has tagged goodwin before, and that didnt end nicely :o
Thompson has probably been the crows in form midfielder this season

Exactly, which is why Godfrey deserves even more credit for making him a bystander to most of today's game.
Thompson is a gun but don't expect too much warmth from Melbourne supporters for him, we developed him, you are just reaping the rewards.

Didn't really notice him to be honest.
He's similar to a West type I suppose, can get under the radar, would help if he got forward a bit more and put a bit of scoreboard pressure on but I suppose you can't do it all.
I thought Edwards was a lot more damaging.
