Way funnier than Rove, why some people find him funny is beyond me,
The show itself is ok,just needs a better host.
Pete is the man. Am i being too hash on Rove, I just find his type of humour annoying & Peter Helliar always make me laugh?

It is like saying that this year the AFL should give the premiership cup to Melbourne because they are better than Richmond.
They are both crap, one is just slightly less crap than the other.
Why doesn't Tony Martin have a show? They throw them at Mick Maloy.

That's probably what the viewing audience think of a man with glasses - how else do you explain Denton only doing well on the ABC?

Dont think Tony Martin is the best looking guy for a host of a TV show, that being said Mick aint great to look at either.

:thumbsu: I'd watch it for sure, forgot about Tony Martin he's very good.But his humour is more witty & clever & maybe not suited to commercial t.v.
By the way when is Mick Maloy's The Nation on ,the previews look crap but I'll watch when it's on, hopefully it will be good.
Has Tiffany Cherry in it i believe,interesting, didn't know she could act?

all peter helliar ever says is "um ah " cant string two words together without um pausing and um saying "um or ah"
You could say the same thing about Rove aswell.
They both should be kept as far away from a TV studio as possible.
Dont think Tony Martin is the best looking guy for a host of a TV show, that being said Mick aint great to look at either.
Helliar is no prize pig either.

Rove and hellier are crap...although I probably rate Hellier a bit better as sometimes his Straugnie thing is funny.
I would like to see Dave Hughes do a Tonight Show...he absolutely rocks
I actually like Helliar.
He does stumble a bit but i still think he is pretty good value.

He's an ok guy but a comedic hack. Straughnie is the one of the worst characters ever,absolutely cringe worthy.

Would love to see a weeknightly Aussie local late night talk show even if it does rip off the yank formula like the old Vizard show did, but doubt we have the talent here to consistently come up with new material for all the new jokes 5 times a week.
The host is the obvious key. Would like to see 'Agro' come back as a puppet sidekick though, he wouldn't have to be as subtle with the innuendos like he was in the Cartoon connection days.

Helliar is alright as a side-kick, but I seriously doubt he could carry his own show.
Tony Martin would be awesome, but 90% of the people on this forum (and specifically TLC) are funnier than Rove and Helliar.

He was actually acting like he was playing dumb. Here is a tip Pete when you actually are totally clueless on a quiz show you can't actually act dumb, you are or you aren't.
Other comedians who are on the show can get away with it as they actually have some knowledge, even Hamish Blake.
The fact the three questions he got right were Kylie, Kiss and the Choir Boys says so much about him.

helliar isnt funny and he never will be. his character is a coppy of reg ragen and it is well and truely past its use by date like reg. never give this bloke his own show. all it will be is undunny joke for 10 minutes. than the rest will be that stupid charayer he does

I had the displeasure of hearing the last 10 minutes of Pete and Myf this morning.
WTF??? She has basically turned into a bogan who isn't funny and he laughs at everything he says.
NO ONE ELSE IS LAUGHING ALONG YOU TWAT!!! Want proof? Check the ratings.
Wil and Lameo have the same problem.
Not funny? Cover it up with laughing as if you are!

How do these two get another year while Get This got the flick?
They can't be rating surely.
Wil and Lameo is at 5.3% (last of the main FM stations, that's behind Gold FM)
Myf and Pete are 5.9% (also last)
Triple M spat in the face of their listener demographic and wonders why they are last. If you want to be a top 40 station, play top 40. If you can't see past the marketing figures and figure out why no one is listening to you, you'll die a quiet lonely death. This is happening to Tripple M. I'd say RIP but the crap you are serving up to us just makes me want to say get ****ed.

Agreed. She was good in the lunch time spot much like Zan is with mornings. But light hearted dribble is not something she's ever been good at
