Girls on Film - A film clip ahead of its time. Saw it on MTV last night. Is there an 'uncut' version of this? :)

Yes, but at least Duran Durans music was slightly better than the porn music back then.

Dunno if I agree with that - Duran Duran didn't really have funky basslines as cool as 80's porn...

If duran duran used the slap bass, then I'd rate them above porn music.

As for the clip. I've found it on kazaa. Hopeully I didn't see the 'un cut' version last night!

ahh yes - the mythical 'un cut' Girls on Film video

One of the great pop culture legends of the 80's.

I've seen it - once only and many years ago. It was pretty ruanchy back then and I suppose it still stings the eyeballs now.

I remember it mainly for the really beautiful women on it, not necessarily what they were doing (which was pretty hot anyway)

Altogether the uncut version went for around 20 minutes and it was just a slapped bass and overmixed syn-drum away from being a porno movie.

good perve though....

I remember watching MTV one night and Richard Wilkins said in his intro that they were going to run a poll & ask "do music clips contain too much sex" or something to that effect. To help viewers decide, the whole 120 minute program was made up of the raunchiest clips ever screened, & the first one they showed was the extended Duran Duran one. Bloody hell, it was soft porn all right, but then all of the clips they showed that nite were !!
