Yesterday I had the displeasure of attending a West Coast home game. Yes, I know, I must be very passionate about my club to brave that. Just a few observations...
- Who is that parochial bald idiot that revs up the crowd during the breaks/pre-game/post-game?
- When will you sign your 100th match-day sponsor? I can't even recall them there were that many.
- Why do you need a supplementary team song ("Eagle Rock") following your regular song?
- S G I O, GO EAGLES GO. For the uneducated, this the chant at the end of each quarter.
- What were those fan things with all of those ridiculous slogans written on them (I don't know how else to describe them) as the West Coast team ran out onto the ground?
- What is with the soccer style EEEEEEEAGLES, EEEEEEEEAGLES, EEEEEEAGLES chant that starts when you begin to dominate?
- Why don't West Coast train on the ground before the game? Are they really that good?
- Why are most of your supporters 6 years of age?
- What the **** is with the added seating on the city end? I swear this wasn't there last season before your premiership. I even saw a temporary seat (like a chair) that wasn't fixed to the ground.
- Why does your crowd clap opposition behinds?
- What is that putrid animation on the screen with the lyrics to the song when your team runs out?
- Why do your fans leave early to avoid the traffic (and there isn't alot in Perth)? Why not celebrate the win?
- Do you people know what holding the ball means?
- WHO WANTS TO WIN A DVD PLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRR?
As I said, just a few observations. And before you start saying all interstate sides are the same, they aren't. I am a Fremantle season ticket holder and I've been to AAMI Stadium and these experiences are completely different.

The bitterness in your heart makes you weak and stupid.

I like the Eagles Rock song after the main song - Prefer it to our actual song, if you remember the old eagles song it was way better.
SGIO go eagles go - that is a little embarrasing - But the worst is that bloosy cartoon thing you said - That is SOOOO embarassing!
At AAMI Stadium I can tell you that they do leave early when they are well in front to get out the car park. But I cant explain why the boys dont train before the game out on the oval?? Maybe they do earlier than you got there?

"For years they took, the best of us, and claimed them, as their own." That probably wouldn't fly these days with Judd controlling proceedings ;)

Didn't think what I posted had anything to do with the game
And I couldn't give a shit about Fremantle. I just have a ticket so that I can see the footy each weekend.

Sounds like someone attended the game of a winning team with a culture of success for the first time. Would drunkenly abusing your coach on national TV after a loss then going to sleep in front of a train indicate a more acceptable supporter culture?
