Houli Class1

this team is an absolute differnt team than last year and even in the early part of the year. We are looking very good and if we played coll'wood
or carlton we would kill them. The improvement from our team has been a shinig light from such individuals such as:
Bolton
Winderlich(still needs to improve kicking for goal)
welsh
Watson
Stanton
Slattery
It is a real indicator on where are goin this year.
even missing some of our most important pressure players such as Lovett and NLM and the news of Rama will be back we are lookin very good and we could get the upset of the year against the eagles this wk

Ryder is becoming a star.
Mal Michael is really helping our backline
New Recruit Davey is exciting to watch
Hopefuly Jetta will get over his injury soon and return to the side.
And once Houli gets a bit more experience he will fit into the side nicely.
McPhee is also improved and getting back to his old form after his form slump last year.
We have alot to look fwd too :D especially after last year!

I watched that Draft video on Youtube the other day and I tell you what, Reimers has got that x-factor that makes me excited. He's only slightly built so he'll take time to bulk up, but he has great leap on him and is a strong mark. He looked similar to Steve Johnson just with a massive leap. He looks like he has goos skill. How has he looked in the VFL?

even though mal hasnt done too much he has aloud fletch to go up and do anything he wants
Stanton and McPhee deserve their own appreciation threads IMO, have been terrific lately, and of course James has been James

I am still worried about 2 years ahead with our KPP's (fletcher and Mal) possibly gone, but until then we'll be competitive + potential

Pick up Jason Cloke in the PSD at the end of the year. ;)

Hey, it's a possibility, and if we do use the PSD hopefully we don't have one fo the first picks, which means a very good pick up would not be possible
The improvement from our team has been a shinig light from such individuals such as:
While we have had a good mix of players stepping up throughout the season thus far, I think our biggest improvement from early in the season is more of a mental/bigger picture approach.
Finally Sheedy has bitten the bullet and we are now playing to win games, not to look good. The hammering Sheedy copped by the media a month ago probably propelled this, but finally Sheedy seems off that having to play good footy high, and playing smarter, more accountable footy.
And we have improved a heck of a lot because of it.
If you go back to the Collingwood and say Hawthorn games, we were playing open, attacking football at all times, however our opponenets werent. That meant they got players behind the ball and choked us, where as we didnt do it the other way. It made us look very pedestrian very quickly.
Suddenly, we are giving our fairly weak midfield and good backline a real chance, but pushing numbers back and limiting the fast supply of our opponenets. Give Michael half a chance he will do the job, for example.
It's how footy is played these days, and something we took much too long to adapt to.
Unfortunately, we are suddenly struggling in front of goal - but the past 4 games we have dominated games much more than the scoreboard has reflected.
I have always maintained this season was about development, not necessarily results. I think we are defintely on the right path - IMO this new gameplan we have adopted is the biggest area of improvement we have made this season. Suddenly we are accountable, something we didnt look 6 weeks ago.

Dont forget he was at the young end of the draft. He would have been eligible for this years draft too, but he nominated himself a year early, and we got him. So yeah he is behind everyone else in body size, but being a whole year younger, it is expected.
there arent too many kids winning us games, its the same old faces getting us the 4 points.
stanton, ryder, davey, winderlich, watson all execptions.........so actually i am completely incorrect here

I think the post was sarcastic, having a go at opposition supporters who say we rely on our older players too much.
