The Hawks have just done the job against Port. For a young team that not many were expecting anything from they're rising to every challenge so far. Where do you think they'll finish?

If we don't make the 8 from here it will be a wasted year

I think that they have a good chance of making the 8 if they keep playing as they are and their young players dont get "beaten up". I doubt they will make the top 4 because, West Coast, Geelong, Sydeny, Adelaide and Collingwood are better teams for this year.

Beat the first 2. Will start favorites against Sydney next week I would think, and the Pies and the crows in the next month will show where we are.

If we can beat those lot, then have we earned the respect of Bigfooty?

Should make the 8 from here. Top 4 - who knows. However, anything can happen in 12 weeks of football. Would be happy to make the 8 and then see what happens from there.

If we beat Sydney and Collingwood then we are a top 4 chance.

I'll just be happy to make the 8 and play some finals.

Played them and beaten them.

With Sydney, Collingwood and Adelaide to come over the next month we should have a much better indication as to where we are going.

Win 2 and there is a distinct possibility that we could make the top 4.

By the same token we could crash out of the finals and finish 9th or 10th...

9th-11th :)

So we've won 11 of our last 14 home and away games - including the 2004 and 2006 premiers in consecutive weeks, but we'll only win 2-4 of our remaining 12?

Each to their own I guess...

Yep, in a purple patch that will end very shrotly.

A purple patch spreading across 2 years?

We finished 11th - winning our last 4 games on the trot for the year.

We have won 7 of our first 10 this season - kicking ourselves out of 2 of our 3 losses.

Hawthorn only have to win five more games. I can't see them not doing that, especially as they are still to play Richmond, Melbourne and Carlton again. They will finish 6th IMO.

We don't play Melbourne again. But that being said, these days I do not see any game as a certain win. I know Clarko is taking it one week at a time, as am I. If we can knock over the swannies and then scrape in a win against the blues we have set up the second half of the year.

I stand corrected on Melbourne. Still, I can't see you not winning 5 out of your last 12 games, even with a 5-7 record (which you has in the last 12 games of last year IIRC) you make the 8. If Hawthorn don't make the 8 from here it's a wasted season.
