I have to commend the Essendon backline. :thumbsu:

It has to be one of the best, if not THE best in the AFL.

Every time we went forward for about two seconds... you rebounded it in two seconds.

Every time we come up against you guys, Fletcher tears us apart. Mal Michael is just an added bonus. I sincerely can't wait for Fletcher to retire, as he's the best defender in the competition IMO.... screw stupid Scarlett.

Well done to Essendon on a good game. You guys 'should' be going to the finals this year. In saying that though, I hope you don't. ;)

Really do not want to get into a massive argument but we played better on the night and deserved the win, we should not have let sydney back into the game in the last minutes.

The decision could of went your way also. It was just lucky it went our way last night.
Thanks for your sportsmanship though. Sydney have handled it better than Richmond did last weekend:thumbsu:

Whatever you need to say to yourself to validate the loss is your business, but hey, always appreciate compliments. ;)

Well... I both admire your backline from last night ... but am really peed off at the same time.... as you would be if you were in our position.

So I thought I'd keep my feelings balanced in this thread. ;)

But yeah... take it as you will... I have genuine respect and utter disgust at how good your backline is.

That's debateable.

That's debateable.

No, I don't think it is. We were the better team on the night and should have won by more.

McPhees out of bounds was just one out of a few debatle decisions. It's not our fault the umpires can't do their job. Deal with it.

That's debateable.

Teams have NO control over what Umpires decide over a period of time. You can only deal with what they throw out there.

If I was a Swans fan and wanted to point a finger, it would be straight at Buchanan. Should have nailed that goal.

Oh please. Let's not make this into another debate thread about whether it was 'fair or not'.... *Struggling not to throw in an insult there*

It's me complimenting you guys on a good backline. Suck it up... because it's the last time I'm doing it... plus... it took a lot of effort and strain to admit it.

Besides... fair or not fair... you guys should be pleased that you just made all the swans supporters across the country break their TV sets. As I did. :D

Lucky you weren't at the game. Like all the rest of your 'unsportsmanlike' supporter friends.

We are happy for you to come here and compliment us and say that it was a thrilling game of footy but it is not a good idea to come onto our board and say we won the game unfairly, it's like throwing rocks at a beehive.

Oh get over it mate.

I recall your 'messiah,' James Hird being charged over criticizing umpiring a few years back. We're you in an 'uproar' when that happened? I very much doubt it.

I don't want this thread to be closed. So can you please just accept my compliment for what its worth?

To the first poster - well done. Good to see some gracious Sydney fans out there (although there are not many).

In saying that, the Swans got out of their defence very easily on many occasions and they kept you in the game - they played very well.

The bottom line is that if McPhee was called out of bounds we would have been two goals up instead of 3 when the Swans came back, evrything would have been different and they may not have even caught up. eg like if you have a car accident, if you left home a minute later the timing and chain of events wouldn't have happened.

Alsoi if it was a ball in we may have got a goal from it anyway.

I think they should blame Spider for losing 2 points, what a dill.

By the way what was McPhee thinking has he got a screw loose.

cheers for the compliment mate, very gracious. I dont know what is is about Sydney, just when you think they're out of it they manage to get back, it's like they've stolen the shinboner spirit.

a very exciting game to watch nonetheless.

Thanx for the compliments, most appreciated. Paddy Ryder is a superstar (if not well on the way). :D :D :D
