Can the Bombers knock of west coast [Archive]

Essendon this year have been the gaint killers...Adelaide,Stkilda,Freo and now sydney...those 4 teams played finals last year....with west coast at telstra...i feel we have a shot ...west coast havent a good record at this ground so we gotta be a show...tell me what you think...

Of course they CAN. It's not outside the realms of possibility. Unlikely though.

Without a doubt they have a chance, West Coast are always suspect in Melbourne (and Tassie for that matter), especially at Telstra Dome. Essendon should get at least 35,000 to this game and an upset could be on the cards. I however will be taking the safe option in my tipping though, West Coast by 8 points.

I voted 'no' because I don't think they will. However, as you rightly point out, it isn't without a chance. If Lloyd can get a hold of Glass then I think the Bombers will be right in it.

Nah seriously, I think Essendon should give the Eagles a massive test. But with Kerr back in and Cox back in awesome form, I'll say the Eagles by 9 points. (I hope Essendon do win because that will see Geelong grab top spot!)

Its gunna be very tough.

We have knocked off a few good teams this year, but in fairness, Freo and St.kilda are struggling atm, and sydney aren't travelling as well. Not trying to put a dampener on our wins, we've still played some very good football.

I would reckon 40,000+ would be expected down at the dome.

If Lloyd and Lucas can fire, im not 100% sure whether West Coast can kick a score big enough to beat us.

We would need to reduce the damage that there midfield will do though.

I hate talking the Cats up too much, but with Adelaide's injuries, Geelong should have a great chance.
