Hird, Lucas, Lloyd, Flecther and Michael.
I think there would be alot of teams in the AFL wishing for a spine like this. But reality is they have all been aroud for over 10 years and over the next 5 years will be retiring at some stage or another.
I am intrested to know what Bombers supporters think will happen over the next 5 years to bring in key players so that little to no slide down the ladder will occur from the current posiition (6th)? And also what players you currently have that could step into these very large shoes?

Johns, Neagle, Charters, Gumbleton, Ryder, Dick.
Maybe Bradley and Laycock as well.

Hird will retire at the end of this year
Lucas and Lloyd have at least 3 more years in them
Dustin maybe 2-3 but showing no signs of age
Michael could go 2-3 as well

i think it will be longer then that. lloyd lucas and mal only 29... i wouldnt think they would retire before 33 (maybe mal if he has a time where he is disinterested again). fletch is 31 i think and he has never really been hugely affected by injuries, i think he will play til 34 or 35 which means another 3 or 4 seasons we have him for...
so at least another 4 years from this group is on the cards for us. just enough time to get johns, gumbleton, ryder and another KPP firing for us to get a good spine..

This is what I can see happening:
Mal- Another 2; he's not very fit and as he get's older it will only get harder, and he'll probably just lose interest anyways ;)
Dustin- Another 2
Hird- Will retire at the end of the year.
Lucas- 2-3 years left.
Lloyd- I can see if being around for another 5 years, he's a FF and Lynch went on for a while so i dont see why he couldn't.

Intresting time Lines on each player. Sounds like you have some good young players come through to replace these players. Who knows maybe Hird might go one more year, sounds like his teamates are doing everything possible to try and make this happen. If his body is right for one more year I hope he does.
in 3-5 years who knows what kpp players we could draft
