C'mon hawkers let us get 45,000 at the MCG to play the swannies in what will be one of our biggest tests for the year. The swans will be fired up with their top 4 chances on the line and will be keen to win for spider. The MCC is expecting the crowd to be 45k and if we can get this many we can really embarass the AFL in regards to the Collingwood v Hawthorn game which would occur two rounds later. I will be sitting in the southern or ponsford with my friend who is a swannies fan and hope to be giving it to the bastard after last year which was a complete fiasco. This could be the game which determines if we can finish in the top 4 or not.

I will be there buddy, just got my tickets then. Sitting in the ponsford stand, level 2. Coming over from Tassie with the old man for the day. Hope that we can get as many brown and gold faithful there as possible. Whats the forecast for Melbourne on saturday?
Does the term 'with bells on' ring any bells with you??:thumbsu:

Thanks Phil, looks like there will be no excuses for a poor crowd! Lets get behind the boys again this week and knock over another premiership contender!

Why aren't we doing what Brisbane is doing and marketing the "Spida vs Us" mantra?
We've come along way from the laughing stock that drew 10,000 to a game vs. Port, 2 and a half years ago.

Yeh everyone get along, I know most of the big footy posters will be there if possible, the philhawks of the world have a prety good excuse for not making it to the game, as for me I go everyweek but this week im bringing along 6 fellow hawks supporters who dont normally go, so hopefully a good crowd/good game and sydney dont play shutdown ross lyon style footy.
To people that say it’s a gross over estimation, the MCG has staged 24 games of football this season – and drawn over 1,000,000 people, but there estimates are only 260 (less then 1% out) from being bullseye.
Sydney will be a massive task this week...to win we must run and run all day. Hopefully Clarko will have the Sydney taps out this week and looking for differences in Spida's tap work this season. We cannot afford to be complacent, like WC and Port Sydney will cut you to bits in a short amount of time if you look to far ahead to the end product.
In terms of the overall picture, this week is a massive game, a win here and we really set up our season. If we want to win 13/14 games this season, we need to win these 50/50 contests.
We're a good wet weather team, but Sydney are better. I'm praying for a nice hard track with conditions susceptible to hard running. Shark Everitt's taps, keep the defensive pressure at a premium and keep our skill level high and we can win.

Who knows who will come out of the woodwork.
The old supporter groups that were there for the glory years of the 80s could even return (look for those with the HFC Finance logo on their guernsey ;) )
Or the Waverley Park crew could make their way from the outer east now that we are putting in impressive on-field performances!
Anyhow if you get there or not - it is going to be quite a game!!

Geez, i'd love to make it against one of the teams i'd love us to beat.
That said, if everything goes right, i'm hoping I can make it down for the Collingwood game.
If I can get tickets is another matter. :o

Yeh Im wondering how you and other hawk members are gunna be able to get tickets. Does anyone think that collingwood members wont get preference over hawthorn reciprical members, i very much doubt it. I just hope everyone plans ahead and there aren't too many fans who are turned away at the gate
