Looking back at this trade that was thrown up, how glad is everyone that we didnt go for it.
For those who cant remember the trade was Ryan Ferguson for Brad Sewell in pretty much a straight swap but both clubs and Hawthorn in particular got too nervous about the trade. Seriously what a brilliant decision and also if Melbourne came to us at the end of the yr looking to trade sewell for ferguson what would they have to thrown in too sweeten the deal, half their list, only joking, im sure its just because we are winning at the moment but no decision hawthorn is making is doing anything other than turning to gold at the moment.

I think you will find that Hawthorn and Melbourne agreed to the trade, Ferguson didn't, hence the trade fell through. Thank God for that.

I AGREE!! I wonder how everyone would of saw the great Pelchen after that trade was done :eek:

So many variables could have effected the whole thing though in the end. Sewell may not have gotten a run at Melbourne and could be delisted by now who knows. Its just one of those things. Who would of thought McGlynn could be a player but he has been given some exposure and has shone!

poeple are forgeting, the only reason these kids are getting known now are turning out be great players for our club is thanx to ac..
peter shawb had these guys back when he was coaching, but difference is that he was a crap coach.
ac has proven he is very smart
