Guys, my apologies for starting a thread based on something so simple, but i was after some assistance as to what end of the MCG the Ponsford Stand is? I would have said it was opposite to the Punt Road end, is this correct? I am sitting in the Ponsford Stand on Saturday vs Swans and wanted to know my proximity to the HFC cheersquad. Thanks in advance. Changa!
Yes you will be at the city end of the ground.

Cheers guys, you will have to excuse my ignorance, (travelling over from Tassie) I usually sit inthe Great Sthn Stand for Hawks games so this will be a nice change. I dont suppose anyone knows what end of the ground the HFC Cheersquad is?

They are generally at the Punt Rd end.

Cheers mate, how do you find out where the cheersquad is located on game days? I was hoping i would be sitting near them on saturday as it is better atmosphere wise.

I see you have been told that cheersquad will be at Punt Rd end and also at Ponsford end.
I've always thought they were at Punt end for home games.

-Hawthorn Cheer Squad sits at the punt road end
-Sydney Cheer Squad sits at the ponsford stand/city end

Thanks HF, i thought that i may have been at the Sydney cheersquad end of the ground, never mind. Yes i am making my third trip over from tassie for the year and i intend to return home saturday night victorious as i have my previous two trips (ess and melb previously). I am taking the old man for his first trip to the mcg on saturday (also a die hard hfc supporter - how my love for the club started) and have future trips planned for the remainder of the season with fellow hawks fans... good times ahead!
