How good is it this week to go to work or whatever you do knowing that your footy team is having a red hot go.
How exciting is it to have that :"I can't wait for saturday" feeling back again. To know that our team is not just turning up to make up the numbers anymore.
I'll admit there have been some games over the last few years that I have had to force myself to watch - just good to see us compete again.
How about it other Hawkers, how's your week been?
Yep, got that nice 'warm glow' feeling going on atm, despite the plumetting temperatures!

Sad as it is, from about this time every week I'm full of nerves. Think it's anticipation due to the years of crap being replaced by being somewhat dumbfounded as to how well we are going.
Huge test this week. Cant stop thinking about it.

Over here in far away Bangkok as I peek around this huge city astounded by what I come across, it is the Hawks Sydney game that is constantly on my mind.
Yes it's a great feeling week. Throughout my life whenever the Hawks have lost, it had buggered up my weekend and afterwards I never read a newspaper, watch TV and radio news bulletins or shows and certainly do not watch a replay. Whilst a losing game goes into my extensive video library, it is most unlikely it will be taken out of the rack :(.

Oh yeah, i am feeling what everyone else is feeling, and more. My girlfriend and workmates don't understand why i am so happy even at work, and why when the weekend comes around i am jumping out of my skin to watch the hawks play, but i just tell them they will never understand how good it feels to witness the club you love performing so well and giving you heaps in return to be excited about. I know it is only early but from what i have seen so far, even the possibility of a small decline will not anger that much. The price of my membership etc is the least i can pay to feel this sensational feeling!!!!! GO HAWKS!!!:thumbsu:

The best part is that all my mates are now even starting to admit that we are going alright... Where normally they are bagging me saying it wont last! We are starting to prove the football public wrong!

So true, RichKing.

Ditto.
Somebody asked me today what teams we've beaten this year?
To be able to say West Coast, Port Adelaide, St Kilda, Geelong, Essendon, Kangaroos and Melbourne isn't something we've been able to brag in a long time.
It's a wonderful feeling.

Do you think the players know that so much depends of them winning every week. I won't say i have had a good weekends unless the hawks win. It lights up my whole week.
I must say Crawford has a new lease on life. That run he did from half back to the wing and then to passed it straight to Franklin was unreal. Picture perfect.

Exactly!!! Last year even when we were flying early we had only beaten the crap at the bottom! I just hope now we dont undo all our good work and drop games that we should be winning!
