Mate I promise you will see me during the finals at some stage, I tell you what ill even come and introduce myself to you. Nothing will please me more than seeing you bunch of sucks choking again like a couple of years ago. Ill even be at your huddle at some stage so you'll be trying to figure out who i am.. love you xoxo
what a disgrace! Playing for a finals spot and putting up an effort like that against a team you beat earlier this year with half there team out yesterday. did i read earlier that mont have re-signed there caoch for another two seasons. well if they have somebody needs to sack the president and his men.
as for the bulls a good win in a danger game before the 1st bounce. And well done to the big fella coaching his 1st win as senior coach. Its all working up to a big finish, underdog status will suit bundy in september.
yehp looks like bundy are hitting some well needed form at the right end of the season, good for them to go into the finals as underdogs.
hopfully they can keep there form running into finals.

I would'nt be surprised if it was one of your mates trying to take the p$ss out of you no fairdinkum person would carry on like this.

Sharkey – I believe you’re being a touch anal-retentive mate. Assuming you don’t know what that means, the term is often used in a derogatory sense to describe a person with an obsession who becomes an annoyance to others to the detriment of the anal-retentive person.
It follows from the oral stage of infant / early-childhood development. At a time when an infant's attention moves from oral stimulation to anal stimulation (including the bowels and bladder). Usually synchronous with learning to control their excretory functions. A time of toilet training.
It is theorised that children who experience conflicts during this period of time may develop "anal" personality traits. Namely, those associated with a child's efforts at excretory control: orderliness, stubbornness, a compulsion for control. Those whose anal characteristics continue into later life is a mild expression of obsessive-compulsive disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsessive-compulsive_disorder) or obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsessive-compulsive_personality_disorder).

Fine summary Boof, I was also thinking along those lines. Don't want to sound rude but you forgot to link everyone to the latest video highlights @ http://www.heidelbergfc.com.au/. Good shot at the end of Goof's tackle.
PS: If Heidelberg win the flag are you going to reveal yourself? You might as well because I WILL FIND YOU eventually..

Looks as though nth might have been playing above themselves northcote park will knock them off next week. The mighty panthers had a top win today it was'nt a bad standard either. I think we need a few big blokes there has been some names thrown around and if we can get a few of them signed pre xmas and a couple just after i beleive we will be a top four contender. I must say Jai Audley is one of the hardest footballers ive seen in the red and black jumper and with some more experiance around him could be the next Daniel Howse of the competition. Mins please play on mate we need ya.
And the shi* blokes award this week goes to:
The tight ar*es at Mont who bought and sold there own cans down the far end of the ground. Disgrace, never have I seen that at any local foot ground over the past 30 years. Great way to foster that local spirit.
Was it the same group true from Monty had there bucks party at the footy today? That is taking Boganism to new heights.
Made it all the better to roll a Mont side that was 19 points in front with less then 8 minutes to go. And didn't the Monty faithful like to tell all the Heidelberg supporters, players and the rest of Burgundy street about how great the might mont are. Maybe if you were in the finals we would tend to agree but alas, I thought you must have been the way you were carrying on. Gee you blokes were quite the lippy bunch with 8 minutes to go, must have quite a super quick bout of Tonsillitis that spread to about 300 people because it got awfully quite over their very quick. Never mind you have the next 30 weeks to recover. All the best with it.
PS J & B, it's offical Monty get the three votes on the women front for 2007, just top notch. There was a set of blonde twins that one of the boys swear he has seen in a email.
And good luck with your coach good to see that Mick Dundee is still alive and kicking.

you may be right about northcote park winning next week, north have been ordinary the last two weeks.too much left to a few guys, others not putting in.
west preston were much harder at the ball.hopefully the finals might revive some north spirit as they have played some good footy this year.
should be a good game though.
would say best of luck to northcote park next week but doubt they have any supporters here on big footy:D

funny you say that bout the mont crowd. other week at the kenel our 2's were up by 28 pts at the third change when they came out and ran over us in the last and boy did their crowd get rowdy and let us know bout it.

Geez Dwighty - fair bit to respond too here.
The cans at the other end of the ground issue - I believe was a bucks day... the 2's player were asked not to go down there by President Ed. Be very surprised if they were selling cans.... our own supporters bring cans to our own ground..... no comment on boganism - because I'm a bogan myself.
As for the lip - I was doing the running - didn't think we were any more lippy than usual ... just banter mate... and in the end Shields and a few others got to give it back with interest.
Was in the rooms until about 7:30 with quite a few other Mont people - was good banter... certainly none of the animosity that you seem to be carrying Dwighty - had we won - we would not have made it anyway.
Good luck Northcote Park.
Brucey I had 24 cans waiting for you???

Its the business end of the season and only 4 teams remain. With most having the burgers and bulls 1 and 2 pre season the 2nd semi final looks like its going to be a ripper. I honestly believe that the boys from plenty rd are real chance to create an upset. With a couple of really strong matchs over the last few weeks and a few blokes coming back from injury, they are starting to click at the right time of year it seems.
However Heidelberg are still the benchmark. But it seems a few injuries and maybe suspensions does this bring them back at little bit?
Hopefully the weather stays good so we can see a great game of footy. So does anybody give Bundoora a chance or is Heidelberg's class going to carry them across the line to the main game in a coiple of weeks?

Alter Ego. I could not care less what the tribunal does. Just don't like when people have a go at the umpire for making a report. We don't get paid to go to the tribunal so most blokes only report when it is serious. A guy who is on the bench, and then engages in rough play, desserves to be reported.

Whistle80 –
1. The umpire alleged that Mick placed an opponent in a head-lock. Upon viewing the video evidence this was clearly not the case. He simply took 3 steps forward to remove an opponents arm from around the neck of a team member.
2. Some time after the minor incident that it was the umpire informed a Heidelberg runner that Mick was yellow carded.
3. At the break of the third the umpire advised Mick he was yellow carded.
4. After the game the umpire then red carded Mick and if he plead guilty he would receive 2 weeks. Notwithstanding the fact that Mick is a key player, provided Heidelberg win this week that would mean no GF for Mick again for the second year in a row. I DON’T THINK SO! Not under the circumstances.
While I’m not one for bagging the umpires my point is if an umpire is going to report a player s/he best have their facts right. Perhaps then it would justify your comment “We don't get paid to go to the tribunal so most blokes only report when it is serious.”
PS… if you believe any part of Mick’s involvement in the incident was attacking or rough play you’re either ill informed, deluded or not fit to umpire in the Valley.

My case answered. He was on the bench. He should not get involved in any part of a fight. As you said.....3 steps.
2. Some time after the minor incident that it was the umpire informed a Heidelberg runner that Mick was yellow carded.
If an umpire deams that it would be better to get the game going and give the yellow card at a later time then he may do so.

It was never changed into a red card. Umpires can report on a yellow card and still offer the 2 weeks. I agree, the club did the right thing by not taking the 2.

As I said I dont care if he got weeks, all I am saying is if he was on the bench and was involved in a flight (while a benched player) he needs to be reported. Every umpire in the NFL would have done the same thing. THEN its up to the tribunal to do the rest. As umpires we don't care after we leave NFL house.

Alright guys I’ll try not to go on too much and keep it simple. Mainly for you Whistle80 assuming you are in fact an NFL umpire.
Northern Football League Incorporated By Laws Sect 2.1 All games shall be played in strict accordance with the “Laws of Australian Football” as determined by the AFL …
Issue 1
Mick was charged under Sect 19.2.2 (p) any act of misconduct. Namely, placing an opponent in a head-lock. He was not charged under Sect 19.2.2 (g) (viii) engaging in a melee..
When push comes to shove the NFL Tribunal is a legal toothless tiger. (no disrespect they’re an integral part of our system) However, even they would not entertain the thought of having to judge a person for being charged with one thing and appearing on another. Basically, to do so flys in the face of Natural Justice or Procedural Fairness.
The point is, you would agree your Honour that regardless of whether Mr Gay engaged in a mellee while in the field of play or not the facts in issue are he was not charged with that.
Issue 2
Sect 19.3.1 The reporting Umpire shall use his or her best endeavours to inform the Player or Official of the report:
(i) at the time of the incident; or
(ii) at the next appropriate break in play;
(iii) before the commencement of the next quarter;
(iv) where the incident occurs in the final quarter, after the completion of the Match.
Note the words ‘shall’ that means the reporting umpire had an obligation to inform Mick that he was reported when they exchanged words at the end of the third term.
This is meant to stop, amongst other things, a thing called ‘Recent Invention’. Meaning, I’ll wait until I get back into the change room and get my story together with the other umpire(s) before I report Mick Gay.
One doesn’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out that is exactly what happened. Why? Because the reporting umpire and at least one other who was in the frame got it totally wrong. If it happened it happened. The truth is the truth. If Mick engaged in misconduct by placing an opponent in a head-lock the video evidence would have supported it. Clearly, that was not the case. Fortunately, for the reporting umpire not much emphasis is placed on perjury in the said jurisdiction.
Whistle80 while I applaud your stand in relation to supporting your colleague(s) but mate PLEEEASE. It doesn’t matter how YOU want to arrange the bowl of fruit it’s still a bowl of fruit. Fortunately, on this occasion due to the video evidence, common sense prevailed.

Northern Football League Incorporated By Laws Sect 2.1 All games shall be played in strict accordance with the “Laws of Australian Football” as determined by the AFL …
Yes and No. We have many rules that difer from the AFL. For example we only have 15min half time not 20min. We have yellow and red cards. We don't kick it stright in after a point (we still wait for the flag)
Issue 1
Mick was charged under Sect 19.2.2 (p) any act of misconduct. Namely, placing an opponent in a head-lock. He was not charged under Sect 19.2.2 (g) (viii) engaging in a melee..
Correct. It was not engaging in a melee.... it was Misconduct in that he....... You can use misconduct for anything. Misconduct that he was a tool or what ever.
No umpire would write "misconduct that he placed a player in a headlock". We try and keep it broad. For example we never write on the report slip where a Stike happens (head, arm, back). We just simply report the player for striking so that we dont have arguments over the precise location of the strike.
When push comes to shove the NFL Tribunal is a legal toothless tiger. (no disrespect they’re an integral part of our system) However, even they would not entertain the thought of having to judge a person for being charged with one thing and appearing on another. This is a biggest load of shit you have written so far. In my time in umpiring I have never had a umpire come and ask me "was that reportable" in fact when another umpire reports you stay as far away from it as possible. The reason, if you are getting observed by the NFL umpiring department and stuff the report up, you can be dropped as well.
If an umpire is going to report somone like the coach or benched player, it is advisable not to go running over and start flashing cards to the bench. 99% of the time further abuse from the bench and crowd will come. A quite word to the runner or captian about the report is better. This is what the umpire did. He even followed up with the player later on. If I was the umpires boss A+++++++++ for this umpire.
One doesn’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out that is exactly what happened. Why? Because the reporting umpire and at least one other who was in the frame got it totally wrong. Perjury...... lol....... Mr. Chairman I would like to recall every player whitness in the history of the tribunal who have told straight out lies to protect their fellow player.

New to the site so won't be too controversal in my first post, so how do we see the finals panning out?
Are Bergers the real deal, can they go unbeaten and be the first team in 60 years (reservoir 1947) to do it, or will the bunnies spoil the party?
Are Norf losing their way? I have a feeling that Northcote Park are the dark horses in this years finals, feel that they might beat Norf and make a fair show for the rest of the finals.
In regards to Micky Gay how good is he anyway...lol...???:)
