Well my friend u are only as good as ur last game!!!!!Great post Scarface. Bundoora will drop off now. Always have been front runners thats why they cant win a flag. Cant recall a game that Bundoora have won coming from thirty points behind or more in recent years good sides can do those sorts of things. The mighty Panthers will knocck them off next time we play them.

Great win by Monty. 20 points down at half time, bought it back to 6 at 3/4 time and over run them by in last to win by 4 goals.
Brillant work by Cutho and Dizzy up foward in the 2nd half. They dominated in the last quarter. When scores level, Dizzy marks then goals to put monty in front. Cutho marks and goals, monty 2 goals in front. Watto has a shot on goals falls short makred by cuthos in the goalsquare, 25 meter penlty, goal.

we (macleod) were playing at west heidelberg today and we were infront by a fair bit tat half time so i decided to wonder over to watch the second half of heidelberg and greensborough it is unbelievable how good of a local football team heidelberg is, they were infront by about 8 goals at 3/4 time and there coach was still not happy at all awsome outfit and now i know the true distant of divvi 1 and divvi 2. heidelberg played badly and greensborough played ok but still didnt really trouble them at all... good to watch a quality team in heidelberg! no one will get close to them at all this season!

Why would the players walk? They have almost certianly signed a contract so there not going to another club until the end of the season. It would make more sense to play out the rest of the season and get a bit of coin.

you are kidding yourself mate. Eltham are just won of the crap teams just making up the the number aswell as 7-8 other sides. i love how everybody writes the bulls off, but dont forget they still have half a side out at the moment and a few more returning to the club.
People dont relise how powerful bundoora are. They are the most professional club in the comp by a mile, dont pay over the top $$$ to players and yet are still in the top 1-3 for the last 15 years or so. Maybe a few of these wannabe clubs like eltham etc should take a look at what a success the bulls are and stop taking pot shots at them.
Imagin the quality of players they would attract if there commitee gave an open bank book ala heidelberg. Best facilities by a mile, good bunch of blokes, have a very successfull 19's year after year and Because the club has been run by professional people the club actually makes money (even without a gate)
All i know is the club will be there in september unlike many of these other clubs who are just jelous of what we are!!

yeah i think ur on the money about the match ups, the borough are very young and wouldve looked very small compared to the bigger bodys of the bergers, but mark my word that if the slime can keep blooding the young kids and can keep them at the club along with a little more spending on some key position quality thers no doubt they will be more than competitive in 5to 10 years cheers river:thumbsu:

can possibly work if you play Cutho back as we did in the first half. Cutho was great yesterday.
Thought we got the match ups right after half time.. moving Hunt on to mouse was a key move... Frick's was too lose.

Last 20 years? You're both level on 2 flags each, and unlike Bundoora the slime have been around since the beginning. Not knocking Bundoora, should be grand finalists but those two flags are your only two. For the record since 1987: North 3 flags, Bergers 3 flags, Lalor 4 flags, Parkers 5 flags, Bundoora 2 flags, Burra 2 flags & WP Lakeside 1 flag.

Bundoora might not be playing well at the moment but your better off going through a rough patch at this end of the season rather than later on. The game i could 'nt beleive was nth v mont how can nth beat greensborough by 18 goals on a similar size ground to mont and then get beat fairly easily by a side that was beaten by greensborough the week before maybe the slime are still a little timid of the doggies jumper. At this stage the flag could go to four maybe five different clubs but as history states in the dv you would rather go into a GF the under dog rather the favorite ask Bundoora Heidelberg and Mont. Does anybody know who has taken over the Epping job? If it is true its a bit rough to sack a bloke before he has even had a chance to change out of his footy gear.

if only footy was that easy to predict chop, guess thats whats makes division one better than divi 2, on any given day any side can beat anyone. Unlike the 200 point wins the lower division throws up. Think heidelberg will be the premiers this yr, even if the underdog has a successful history in DV finalies.

:rolleyes:Obviously you have no idea why larko left, which leads me to ask the question ,in which capacity have you ever been involved at mont ? The great thing for the club was the gutsy fight back in the last .The great thing for the coach was the fact we were able to pull the knives from his back straight after the game, you would have been on the hill watching no doubt. The best thing is we will give a good account of ourselves against the bulls at home this week. One more thing (I cant stand f%#%en white ants)mate . i did play twos a couple of times.
whether your a twos or ones player you still know if a coach is good or not .
Larko was the best coach ive seen at mont ... he was a great coach
well organised at training , good drills and football smarts. what he does outside football is his business. it didnt effect his coaching
the stupidity of mont to get rid of him still amazes me.
but i suppose he didnt work with a hammer which seems to be all the vogue at mont .
for some reason at mont there seems to be a correlation between hammering and football knowledge

Played last week against Eltham.
Yep, he played against Eltham as mentioned.
He didn't particularly do much in that game or have any major impact but obviously takes away a key big sized defender. Or as in our case, a Key "slighty above average sized" Defender. (we're not over endowed with talls unfortunately!) :(
He looked rather short of a gallop, but obviously Bergers dont need him to be the key p-athway to their attack, but opposition obviously need to respect or he could cut loose.
Can roost the ball a long long way too.

What sort of a club goes and buys a full 22 players and tell's all the blokes who have won 6 or something flags in the last 10 years sorry boys. I have a mate who plays for epping (both 1's and 2's this year)
The long and short of it is a falling out between 1's coach and president / comittee about playing young kids.
Several ones players are mates with the coach and so threatened to walk out too.
Then club wanted two's coach to take over but he refused because didn't want to look like he was stabbing ones coach in the back.
Few more players that the one's coach brought to the club also threatened to leave.
Don't know if the club has managed to resolve the issue with any of the players but at least a half dozen or so were 90% gone!
Creek might be licking their lips!:D
got plenty of contacts up the pingers and a new intrim coach will be announced tonight at training.
no players are leaving after the club met with the senior group on sunday, although there were a few heated words after it was first announced, which is understandable.
rumour is king and hollow might take up the reigns as coaches if cant find a replacement.
i have heard that the reason for the sacking was that young blokes werent getting a fair go,whilst other blokes who were so called buddys with the coach were getting a game even though form and fitness wasnt up to it.
example: carrick had a knee reco in november, straight back in the team this week, no preseason and hardly trained, not a game since injuring his knee.
also heard reserves coach macca was the desired replacement but resigned after the senior game because of an injured player making the moves on the boundary line rather then him(which wasnt the 1st time). 2 many cheifs not enough indians, was apparently his parting quote.
now all of this is what i have got from talking to a few people and players from the club. so its all here say
good to luck to couta to in his future good bloke.
good luck to all at the club because its too good a facility to be in div 2.
hoopefully they smash creek this week and get away from relegation.

Mase,
Surely the writing for this was already on the wall ??
From what blokes like yourself & LLMoose and others have been saying in other posts, it would appear that the Rot was starting to set in, even back last season or the one before.
I still can't understand how a Pres could sack a coach/player like that so publicly straight after a game. Surely it would have been a better option to let heads cool and summon him to a meeting the following day or so and then if agreement could not be met ask for his resignation or give him the sack.
It will be interesting to see the mettle of Epping tested now, will they rally and fight it out or fold and crumple in a heap?? Lets hope they fight it out.
just a query to blokes who have played at these 'money' clubs, are they fun to play with? i know some of the best parts about my club are when u are out on a saturday night with 20 teammates (the majority of which have come through the creek juniors within two or three years of each other) clowning around. does this occur at places like the berg and others?
It certainly does happen at Heidelberg, but even more so when we are celebrating Division One Senior Premierships!! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

As a long time reader, first time poster (to new NFL D1 forum ne way), I'd be interested to hear any views on the Panther's late final quarter rally to get over WPL on Saturday!
I think it is the first Panther game I've missed viewing in the last 10 years and would really appreciate any comments about how & who won/lost the game.
Fig9, what your thoughts mate ??
Allday 18, How you go Buddy and what was the Pleasant Sunday like?? I'm tipping a few jars went for the begging!!
Cheers

Was a great win mate, 19pts down at the 28min mark of the last qtr, there wasnt many who gave us hope!
I think even you may have found it hard to believe K.A!
Full credit to West tho, they gave it their all but just fell short!

BUT didnt see it anywhere that you need to win Premierships to have a good night with your mates..... but things may be different down your way.... :D
Thanks for answering the question 'Maybe'....:thumbsd:

ah harry, harry. Balwyn are a shit club. Maybe a good football team but you could hardly call them a good club. What sort of a club goes and buys a full 22 players and tell's all the blokes who have won 6 or something flags in the last 10 years sorry boys. What sort of a club is it when 10 mins after the game everyone has got there pay check and pissed off home no to be seen til tarining on tuesday.
I dont think some people understand the real reason we all play local footy! Having fun with your mates means more then a couple of hundred bucks.

yeah things are improving on the field. The coaching staff are doing all they can and in my book are doing a good job. It just seems little lapses in games cost us. We will be ok though, starts this weekend in probably the biggest game for a couple of yrs against an epping side that could be fired up or could fall in a heap. Certainly the most interesting game of the weekend.

Have Diamond Creek lost any players from last year?? I heard that you lost your ruckmen big Braddy Phelan to injury, but surely one player doesnt effect your whole side, is there many missing from last years side as you boys were quite competitive??

All membership packages differ slightly. With a North Heidelberg one you get issued with a barefoot pregnant single mother, a gold pass for half price off all products at Northland reject shop, and a get out of jail free card. Pretty sure you also automatically qualify for the dole, and you have the option of upgrading to the gold package, which also gives you a complimentary pitbull called Tyson.
There is a strict screening process, you have to have an IQ lower than 50, you have to have held up at least one servo, and it is preferable if you have knocked up four or more bogan chicks that will all come and watch home games.
Really good value down at the kennell, but I'm sure chopsewie will be able to elaborate further:thumbsu:

Heidelberg: You get a $2,500 sign on bonus, the promise of a flag, a trip to the UK for a sporting event of your choice, and a free night on the "P" at liquormans Albury pub. That's value.
Northcote Park: You get taxi licence, and personally introduced to each of their other supporters... it takes 3 minutes.
Mont: You get a history lesson on hard luck grand final loses (emphasising the point we didn't choke, but rather luck conspired against us) You get a crash course in racist sprays to give from the Hill - and if you choose to stand on the clubrooms side of the ground - you are given hot chip vouchers to throw at Liquorman in case he ever returns to Para road... sauce on that T-bear??

From all reports its only Troy Carrick that has left, with a big possibilty of Shane Jacobs as well. The rest are all staying with Brad Hollow agreeing to be assistant coach. Will be interesting this week when they line up against Creek. Daniel King cant play this week due to work.
