View Full Version : Are ppl enjoying it as much as i am?
Collingwood are so under rated. We are written off every week. Yet we continue to knock over sides that are "stronger" then us. ppl are onli now starting to complain about our so called arm chair ride into the top 4 coz of our fixture. I could eat my words come end of season. but at this stage i find it quite entertaining.

Agreed mate. Personally though I think the pies play much much better when there is no expectation on us to win. when we are expected to win and win comfortably I think is past years we have struggled mentally at times.
Nervous this week against the Dees. They have a list full of HACKS who seem to find form on Queens Birthday every year and thump us. Johnstone, Green, Yze, PIckett (not this time) always seem to lift and with our injury concerns I see this as a major danger game.
yeah this is a definate danger game... the next 2 weeks will determine where the pies are going this season. and if u look at it... if we win the next 2 and the hawks knock ova the swans this week. we will go 4 games clear of sydney. :D if collingwood keep winning, the otha matches being played work rite into our favour. Cats v Crows, Ess vs WC. etc
Death, taxes and people complaining about Collingwood's fixture is what you can always expect out life. :p I think it's funny when they whinge and but then pick us to be a bottom 4 side. Helps my tipping when my mates are too stubburn to admit they are wrong. :thumbsu:
Am I enjoying it as much as you? Ooooooh YES!!! :):):) At the beginning of the year people spoke of our "dream run" because of so many home games (Gawd, they'll complain about anything), yet they still expected us to drop out of the eight (couldn't figure that one). And we ourselves never expected Burnsy, Tarks and Harry to improve as they have. Even Swanny is on the improve, as is Leon. I'm now half-expecting Lonie, Bucks and Licca to come back dramatically improved too (if that's possible in Bucks' case). I think it's a case of the young'uns inspiring everyone. And when I look at how the seconds are doing, wow!!! :)

This round last year the wheels fell off, and stayed off for 4 weeks if my memory serves me. These are the sort of games which show us if it another flash in the pan year or something more is happening.

When we lose we're crap.
When we win its because the opposition have injuries, dont kick straight, or just have a bad day.

I love it when commentators reluctantly admit we are better than they thought, but when pressed as to whether we can make the finals, they still say no without hesitation.
I enjoy watching us when we are playing good footy.
Even though we beat Nth and the Tigers, they were games I did not particularly enjoy watching because of the frustration (my remote control knows exactly what i am talking about!)
We lost to WC and that was still good to watch.
I think that if we keep playing the way we are playing now, this will be a very enjoyable season. The best thing is that you just know that whatever happens this season, the future looks pretty good.

Hmmm I dont know about that. I would rather kick the first 10 goals of every game and never have to worry about the Pies losing.
I get waaayyy too nervous otherwise.

spent years every week everyone saying the mighty pies would win finals and grandfinals. We bloody lost the lot. Now i just love it when they all bag us and think we will get thrashed, i then know its going to be a good day.

We're capable of winning every match we play and these kids we've got coming up are fantastic.

Melbourne should shit all over Collingwood, even with just one win, they shit all over them. Davey is just too fast, Neitz will kick 20 goals, Robretson will take 30 marks and Cameron Bruce will get 60 touches. The best player will be Tarkyn Lockyer with just 5 touches, Collingwood's forward line will weird only 11 behinds. The Dees should win by more then 200 here. This is a well needed % booster for the Dees.
