Ugh that really blows.
Looks like Wakelin might get another crack, because i'm not sure if i want Clement (assuming he plays) starting first game back on Neitz.

Knowing MM though no doubt Maxwell will start on Neitz.

Hurry back Presti.

It's in The Age, but not in the Sun.

In reality we won without him the other night. Wakes seems to lift when he gets his AFL opportunities.

Still, I don't know how many more injuries we can cop before it starts to cost us points.

If Heater, Clemo & Presti is out, then that's a fair void. Coxie will hopefully get another run. And maybe time to unleash the beast: Martin Mother****en Clarke!

You can stop all of the forwards some of the time and some of the forwards all of the time, but without Presti and Clement you can't stop all of the forwards all of the time. I'm not sure if Martin MuthaF**ken Clarke will take off as a nickname in the same vein as Heater or Neon, but worth a crack. :thumbsu::D

Nothing wrong with Wakes, but Presti is a huge loss.

Chris Tarrant had a similar injury and he missed a few games. It's very hard to run.

Shocking news though, Shane Wakelin will be called on for the time being, I suppose, he's not as important as Presti but he now has a role to play for the team.

it seems that ppl have written off wakelin?! I dont know why he is still playing at a very good level. He is still our 3rd best tall option, maybe 4th behind harry these days. Presti missing wont hurt us all that much with wakelin coming in, an added bonus is that he can rebound and set up play or at a minimum at least kick it.

Presti is much more important than most people give him credit for. He is integral to our defense and is a huge loss.

Is the smartest defender we have and rarely makes mistakes... hopefully Clement is due back soon.

Wakes, Shaw(s) and Maxwell is going to have to really step up to fill the breach.

Terrible timing with the Dees on Monday... really needed him on Neitz.

I always thought Wakelin is important, as he is one of four players in our team that can take on 100kg plus forwards. The others are Travis and Clement (& simon), but clement is more valuable as an attacking defender and Travis up forward.

similar to the ruck situation, we really need at least four on our list and we only have three.

Nathan Brown should become our forth Key backman.

Hopefully Presti only misses 2 games being Dees and Swans as he would have had 30 days rest between Freo game and Hawks game on Sunday in round 13.

He won't get 30 possies.

I'm not saying he's hopeless, but I am saying pre 2007 we wouldn't be in our starting 18, and hasn't done much this year to change my mind about it.
