Hi Footy Fans...
Round 4 has been and gone and the second blockbuster of the year had finally come. A three game round was the deal for SA football lovers this week and one team in particular came away very happy.
It all started with the Friday night blockbuster between the unbeaten duo Central District and Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. The Doggies gave the Magpies a feather tearing session that night, winning by 37 points.
North Adelaide fans have been given something to crow about after their trip to Noarlunga Oval on Saturday, taking the points against the Panthers with their 15 point win.
And in an experimental time slot twilight match at Norwood Oval, the Redlegs got home against Westies by 16 points.
Here's the dirt on Round 4 of the SANFL
Friday April 19
Central District 13.8 (86)
Port Adelaide 7.7 (49)
Crowd: 6,434 at Adelaide Oval—Night match
Saturday April 20
North Adelaide 13.9 (87)
South Adelaide 9.19 (73)
Crowd: 1,591 at Noarlunga Oval
Norwood 15.13 (103)
West Adelaide 13.9 (87)
Crowd: 3,999 at Norwood Oval—Twilight match
Glenelg, Sturt & Eagles had the bye.
Ridiculous these three-team byes, are they not?
The SANFL action continues next week in Round 5, the Anzac Day Weekend, with Central finishing its Adelaide Oval stay and to begin a four-day SA footy feast!
