Is he injured? Was he dropped for Richards?

should return this week.
I'd keep Richards in build his confidence up, and get Bryan more hungry.
He has a toe injury, well that's what the club said anyway.

Worked out OK as gave Richards a couple of weeks and he actually suited the match up with Sandilands even though he and Fraser got pumped it can't hurt to have a hit out against a genuine tall like that. Whilst the ruck isn't exactly 5 star yet, it is workable and competetive.
If he's ready this week definitely put him back in the side.

I would play them both alternately to not let either of them think that they have the upper hand.
Against Jeff White (195cm) and Paul Johnson (199cm), Richards' beanpole height is not as necessary. With Johnson a chance to go push forward to try and stretch our defence, Bryan's experience playing in the backline will be useful as well, as will his extra ability around the ground.
At the moment, rotating them for match-ups is only going to spur them on to work on their weaknesses - If we keep dropping Guy Richards in favour of Chris Bryan's around-the-groun ability, then Guy is going to know that if he improves in that aspect, he's less likely to get dropped. Likewise, Bryan is likely to get the message that he needs to work on his hit-outs.
