View Full Version : AICF Australian Junior Indoor Cricket Championships (14's, 16's & 18's)
Yep, it's that time of year again. The Australian Junior Indoor Cricket Championships get underway today in Liverpool, New South Wales.
Last year's tournament showcased some of the best junior players each state has to offer and we saw some great indoor cricket played. This year promises more of the same with a new division for the girls at this year's meeting. The girls will have an Under 18's competition, the first time they have had one at this tournament.
Here are the entry lists for each division,

Haha Tony Pahi is coaching the Victorian U16's. You can cross them off the list of achieving anything throughout the tournament.
The Victorian U18's look fairly strong...played against a fair few of them this season...

It showed. Even our 16's were able to beat your mob and our 16's coach is a muppet. Refused to play our 14's in a practice game 5 times, maybe he was just scared they might lose.
The Victorian U18's look fairly strong...played against a fair few of them this season...
Our 18's are very average this year, play against them regularly in mid-week competitions and they are nothing special. Nothing like teams that have contested the tournament previously.
Very interesting to see that NSW Metro beat Queensland in the 16's comp. Good effort that one.

Still no ladders yet unfortunately. Some good indoor cricket being played it seems.
My state, WA, doing okay, 18 and 16's struggling a little but they've managed to get one win each so far. 14's holding up the fort.
Tomorrow will be a crucial day, the teams that will play finals are sure to make their move and try and guarantee a spot. We'll see which teams will be playing finals and which teams will be watching the finals.
Some things don't change though, South Australia are still a rabble.
Day 3 Results are up, still missing two results from the day's play. Still no ladders either.

Only one day to go, Grand Final day. Some interesting results there. Hard luck to my boys, WA, did so well in the 14's and 18's only to fall to the NSW and Qld sides. Always next year boys.
Will be interesting to see who wins tomorrow's Grand Finals.
Will post results when they come through.
