As most of you would know, I'm a cat man, but I spent a helluva lot of my formative youth at Moorabbin watching the sainters play, and I certainly have a spot there for em. There is no way you can seriously tell me that Geelong is a 20 goal better side than the saints at the minute. I feel we are both kind of in the same boat (as in the richer clubs would rather see us gone), and I hope all you sainters don't jump off. Young blokes like Koschitzke, Reiwoldt, Beetham, Dal Santo and Clarke will lead the way for you, if you can actually get your best 22 out there each week you'll be a bloody good side, unfortunately nobody can predict injuries though.
Stick with em, if theres any side other than my own I want to see go well its the saints.

thanks nakeddeadguy,

our club has done everything possible to get the fans to jump off and yet here we still are. another year of misery doesn't do much for morale though.

Some of us hurt like hell watching our team getting thrashed in the manner that we did as well as losing week in week out.

You have two choices. Either :-

a) Slag the team off, turn off your radio and not turn up to watch us play again (until we start winning more than likely)

b) Stick with the side through thick and thin. Living through the terrible lows made our 1997 season (ignoring the GF :( ) so much sweeter and more enjoyable than anyone from another club could even contemplate. Since halfway through 1999 to today we are going through as tough a time as the dark days of the 1980's. Around 10 wins out of 65 or thereabouts is just agony.

Assuming you are a card carrying member of St Kilda you have every right to be angry and disappointed and by all means air your grievances. We can't just tolerate the same sort of performances that has caused our team to not have the respect of its peers. The fact that we as supporters are often ridiculed because of our teams lack of success means jack **** to me. It's simply the disappointment of not succeeding that hurts.

Just remember our club is unique. I went to the footy with a Geelong supporter on Sunday and she couldn't understand why the group of Saints fans behind us were screaming out "Go Saints" and making as much noise as a Brisbane supporter would in the midst of an 20 game winning streak when we were over 100 points down. It's because we love our club. The day we lose that our club is in a lot of trouble and I'd like to think we all play a role in that. :)

last night I went to an all saints function, with grant thomas speaking. I walked away from the function, uplifted,. he is a fairly inspriational speaker.

thre were no promises except to say that they would be competitive. they have 11 players out, they have a game plan, and they are trying to work on the 'mental side of things.

it was an excellent night, which i hope to go to more of.

they showed parts of the footy club i had not seen before, i walked away fairly happy, and impressed, for this week, my hope is that they will be competitive.!!!!
