DEEP PURPLE OZ GIG CANCELLED:
As quickly as it was announced, the one off Deep Purple Australian gig is off.
The group's local fan club have been told it is postponed, but Deep Purple admit to being in the dark over the whole affair. They claim the reason given to them is that the football club have financial problems and have decided to shelve the project.
Ian Paice is quoted as saying: "Please let anyone who is interested know that we are as disappointed and confused as everyone is over there. As and when anything develops I'll let you know...."

damn..thought it was too good to be true. Disappointing.

dunno if its on the net..but it is true..theyre saying its postponed on www.deeppurple.com.au which i hope is true..but what i hear is it's not gonna happen..a shame..would have liked to have met don airey but hes hardly a deep purple member is he
