I think we as supporters are taking him for granted
We expect him to do the buisness week in and week out, that is a sign of an out and out champion. Please tell me what The Great One means to you.

The Great One is a colossus!! He is certainly the most underrated player in out team. You might be shocked at that remark, but he most certainly 'is' our most underrated. Hell ... he is my favourite player and even "I" underrate him. He has to basically kick 10 goals for me to sqeeze him into my votes! But the guy is kicking 6 goals each week ... with nothing much said about it. Just another stock-standard game from The Great One.

He is so good ... it's scary! 24 to boot, with plenty of years ahead of him.

I concur!

Actually - as weird as it sounds, I think The Great One and Jimmy are our 2 most underrated players!!

They are taken for granted - their ability is bewildering to say the least.

Jimmy is one of the competitions best....ever. I dont think he will be fully appreciated until he goes - which will be a very sad day indeed.

The Great One will go down in history in a similar vein!

Good start my friends.
I know every other club/supporter would sell their mothers to have him, especially that navy maggot scum

I remember his first goal off the ground to the Punt Road end of the MCG in a 120 point demolition of the Crows.

Lloydy is a legend, and those who bag him are simply jealous of his abilities. He is everything you would want in a footballer- talented, fair, likeable, strong, and tough.

I loved his comment after the game regarding the McLeod incident. He had just copped a severe, and possibly reportable bump which nearly knocked him out, yet after the game he said, "McLeod is a fantastic player and there was nothign in it. I hope he gets off"

Fantastic stuff Lloydy. Doesn't hold any grudges either.

No, but I'll be holding a grudge. Anyone who hits my man...I'll see to them myself!! Watch out Andy McLeod!   :D

Lloyd is definitely underrated, though not in the sense other players are, like Danny Jacobs. Matty kicks 6 and many people, myself included, think, "is that all?" We all take him completely for granted - yet without him...well I don't even want to imagine! People are too busy bagging him to actually recognise what a talent he is. Who cares if he throws grass or takes so long to kick a goal? The point is, he kicks goals and lots of them. That remains the most important part of the game.

He conducts himself in a professional and humble manner off the field, and that means just as much as anything he does on it, in my opinion. I'm glad he represents the game and the club as he does.

The whole grass thing kind of annoys me though.

Anyway, let everyone else complain about him. Essendon will keep him, thank you very much.

It's his formula and it's working so what the heck.
Actually we timed other players and Lloydy is not the longest...I think it's just he's so often in front of goal and most modern AFL players are so personality-less and bland that commentators have to think of something to harp on.

Yes, Dan, he will probably get McLeod off. I wish Gaspar was half the person...and player ....that Lloyd is.

Finally I'd just like you to appreciate his unselfishness...I would bet that any other player chasing a goal record would hog everything that came forward ......but he constantly shepherds, takes terrific marks and passes off..... and generally creates oppurtunities for others to goal!
