Toby hughes has played 3 senior games and missed the game against bungaree through injury. so he is probably out of the running. I'd say Brett Knight, Alec Cimera, Ben Hughes if he starts stringing good games together and Sam Conroy as a dark horse.

Shaw would be a shoe-in for Newlyn. And I agree with your post, Knight talks himself up like he is Judd.

Interesting to read these comments from you DalSantoJnr, as a keen follower of the CHFL U/18 competition i have seen the Hepburn U/18 side play three times this season. and in the three times in which i have watched them play there two stand out players i believe were #11 L.Santurini and #12 T. Gurkin. but yet you have ellected to not mention them in your B&F sellections. Why? and after studying your teams results i noticed that L. Santurini had been named your teams best 4 out of the 7 games so far this season. and he recently broke through into the senior team to make his debut but still no mention. Why is this DalSantoJnr do
you not respect him as a player?

Tom Gurkin will be up there but I can't see him winning it this year as he seems to get lost sometimes when moved to a position other then on the ball. I have all the respect in the world for leigh as a player. He is highly talented but he is a centre half back and he will lose valuable votes against the teams closer to the bottom of the ladder as the ball doesn't find its way to the back line much. If he continues to push up the ground against those teams he may have a good shot at our best and fairest.

Mate, BigFooty is a place where you can anonomously have your say about issues regarding footy in our local district. Its a not a place to blow ya own trumpet and fill threads with useless crap. Ive seen a couple of insightful posts from you and plenty of rott. Stick to the insightful stuff; its of more use.

Santurini is quite clearly your best player, he is the Chad Cornes of the CHFL and will clearly take out Hepburn's U/18's B&F. Teams might have to start playing a defensive forward on him. Brett Knight will finish 13th.

U were clearly age group chasing.
DalSantoJnr
17th June 2007, 13:38
Age group chasing. Half a year is barely anything. And if i was age group chasing, wouldn't i have left hepburn by now and joined castlemaine U/16.5 or something. Think about it fev. Plus I love a challenge. Playing against guys that are almost two years older then me is a thrill. But thats all different with you, isnt it. you jump out of the way when big guys are running full pelt at you. Actually, even when i run at you.

Back in the day half a year was a bit, why else would u move down there, you say u moved to get away from all us 'wankers' but u ended up playing with pretty much the same outfit as Hepburn did steal all our players.
Just looking at the team sheet yesterday and I could point out about 14 players that once played for Daylesford. B. Knight, A. Cimera, J. Carman, G. Henderson, L. Santurini, T. Gurkin, S. Conroy etc take them players away and ya's wouldn't be much of a team.

Ballan - Daniel Eberle, hack, but ballan have no one else
Beaufort - Ben Hayes, quite easily
Bungaree - Joel Mahar, few other handy players in that team, he'll just win
Buninyong - Joel Kicthen, fairly easy
Clunes - either Murray Ellis or Jayden Hind
Creswick - Matt Longridge, he is holding that side up at the moment
Daylesford - John Dwyer or Glen Kirby
Dunnstown - Bryce Mullane or Tom Owens
Gordon - Ash Munari, only player gordon kick it to
Hepburn - Leigh Santurini, one of the best CHB in league (Toby Hughes has played too many senior games)
Learmonth - Tyson White or Brad Knowles
Newlyn - James Maher or maybe Lachie Shaw
Springbank - dunno his name, there captain red headed bloke?
Waubra - Grant Dowler or Shane Holland
what are your thoughts?

will dickson is the springbank captain and as much of a hack he is he'll win. ours is up in the air i think. dean hunt, jackson murphy and tristan fay are all up there, plus expct riskey, 'pancakes' brown and matty laux to poll well
