21. 1 - Ashley McIntosh

Big Movers - two big movers this week in Kerr and Matera. Daniel Kerr was most voters BOG and in turn moved from a share of 18th all the way up into 5th. Peter Matera also had a big jump from 17th to 9th. Cousins moved from 7th to 6th but more importantly closed the big gap Jako Gardy and Wilson were creating, none of last weeks top 3 got votes. Judd has moved from 5th to 2nd. He has also played one less game than most.

Big Losers - Fletcher although still in the top 5 hasnt recieved a vote since round 1. Slowly but surely he drops from 1st to 6th, can he stop the rot. Wilson after 3 fantastic games finally had a bad one and couldnt get a vote. Lucky for him Jakovich and Gardiner also couldnt get votes and whilst players like Cousins, Kerr and Judd closed up, his lead of 52 points has only being reduced by 8 points to 44.

New Entries - no new entries this week.

Jod's Comments - 4 players shared the votes this week with Kerr winning round 4 and Matera, Judd and Cousins all getting there share of votes. Judd, a rookie and didnt even play in round 1 sits in second!...ominous signs. But perhaps even more ominous is Cousins. He sits in 6th with 99 votes and is yet to turn it on or get himself a BOG.....

After watching all the WC games....Fletcher surely must be pretty close to getting dropped. I dunno how valuable the WC staff think he is, but he has hardly had a kick since Round 1. Embley is another who has been struggling since round 1. Who from the Eagles squad has had good form in the WAFL so far and would be close to gaining selection??

Kasey Green went well on the weekend (supposedly - I didn't get to a WAFL game because of the idiotic scheduling) and could be a chance as either a small defender or a replacement for Fletcher or Banfield.

Woosha mentioned Trent Carroll at the press conference, but he was apparently beaten by Todd Curley for West Perth this week so may have missed his chance.

Sierakowski must be close to a recall post knee and he has experience.

Cox and Humm from East Perth would also be a tall and a small in the reckoning. A few weeks before Michael Prior will be match-fit to take up a half back / kick-in position in our defence.

I have a suspicious feeling Judd's votes are inflated by the fact that we rate him so highly. I certainly don't think he's been our 2nd best player this year, so i'm gonna be careful from now on not to give him votes simply because of his age and profile.

As hard as I tried, I just couldn't slot him anywhere in the 5... ;)

I think overall he has been in the top 4 or 5 players for us so far this year. In the 3 games he has played, he has had an impact in each of them. Wilson, Gardiner and Jakovich have probably being the standouts so far this season.

Judd with Cousins have probably being are only two consistent midfielders thus far. Cousins has being consistently good, lets hope he can get back to being consistently brilliant.

WA....im adding your votes now.
