The Adelaide Crows will feature in a new Toyota television commercial in July.
Adelaide’s squad, including coach Neil Craig, took part in the filming at AAMI Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Crows team has not been in a Toyota commercial since 1992.
“Toyota has been with us since day one and they’re as important to the club as anyone,” Crows commercial operations general manager Phil Harper said. “They’re having a real go at becoming number one in South Australia and the players are really keen to help them achieve this goal.”
The commercial will be screened throughout South Australia from July 1.
Has anyone got the one from 1992? From memory it was pretty bad.

This one will probably be shocking too, most commercials which involve sport stars are pretty average.

it does look pretty cool! Chris knights front and centre is good to see!
As a major sponsor it surprises me there havent been more. Will this be national or just local?

Is that Dogga second from the left? He seems pretty keen, as does Macca (extreme right).

How long will it be before Toots uses that picture to suggest that now both our training and playing grounds are carparks?

There's an ad in Victoria at the moment with Xavier Clarke and Fraser Gehrig advertising the Saints' alliance with the Sacred Heart Mission. Looks pretty amateurish, like it was filmed on a home camcorder. Xavier basically mumbles through his lines before Frase says "Go the Hearts!" at the end.
Hopefully the Crows one is nowhere near as bad (you'd think Toyota have more money than a non-profit organisation ;)), you'd assume it would only be seen in Adelaide.

I'm sure the workers at Holden's Elizabeth plant, and Mitsubishi's plant at Tonsley Park will be thrilled that the "pride of South Australia" is helping to make their jobs secure. :thumbsu:

So does this mean that MMM will finally stop their stupid "Neil Craig show us a smile" campaign? ;)

Once again Port supporters cant discern between heritage , history and re-badging
Toyotas , when the Crows entered , were re-badged Commodores from the Elizabeth plant. So we did support a great SA company. We also left the opportunity open for our poor cousins from the Docks to initiate discussions between GMH and/or Mitsubishi...but it seems you went for an interstate phone company.

Perhaps when they pour money into a local AFL side, no matter which one, then Ill except your comments. That's exactly why Toyota is now numero uno car manufacturing company on the planet.
Until then buzz off.

Which of his comments are you not excepting? I like some of his, accept the ones that bag the crows.

Are all of Port Power's sponsors Adelaide based? Shouldn't they all be Port Adelaide based considering you like to wank on about how your side represents the Port area and it's people?

What is wrong with you? You should be banned for that comment. Toots Hibbert is one of the most disgraceful posters on this board, continues to use the same lines to rip into the Crows.. no creativity, no originality. Are you a Port fan in disguise?

His comments about the workers at GMH and Mitsubishi are out of line.
The dig that our club takes money from a club that doesn't have a factory here, but interstate is below the belt.
It's the companies that they work for that make squillions of dollars profit (well GH anyway) and do not pump anthing but little t1t bits on promoting sport in this country.

It doesn't make a lick of difference where are sponsors are from. Anyone with a basic understanding of international economics would realise that the Mitsubishi and Holden plants are blights on our economic development. Toyota provide quality cheap cars to Adelaideans and support our footy team. Everyone in manufacturing should go get a job in the service sector asap and stop deluding themselves that vehicle manufacturing has a future in Adelaide.

Good point Kung Fu. I love Holdens but sometimes they do produce dodgy cars, and they test their product on the paying public while Toyotas seem to go the distance with little maintenance.

I was slurring the above posters inability to determine the differnece between except and accept.
Seriously, imagine how many times that photos going to come up on threads with Toots now. SHould never have been posted.

We're in the market for a new car, but there's no way I'd buy a Toyota knowing that one of your players might have sat in it :p
