If your not already at the game...turn it on now, plenty of AFL experience out there...and a cracking first quater
Souths 9.2 56
Subi 7.4 48
Good crowd out there too! :thumbsu:
Watched the first quarter and a half also. Top game. Sampi's done some great things.
Good to see Nicoski back and running

Good high scoring game so far. Sampi tore Nicoski up in the first. Nicoski's been quite good though. Brad Smith's a gun, 5 goals in the first half, hope he gets another shot at AFL.
Was at the game. Sampi was magnificent, faded a bit in the last but his pressure and tackling was top notch. Kicking for goal was also good, kicking 3 maybe 4? Even ran down Nicoski
Nicoski looked good, with his long kicking and pace, but did get beaten by Sampi early. Should be in the side next week.
Graham was his usual self. Plugging the hole in the backline and providing some run

Saw the first quarter.
Who ended up winning?
How many did Smith finish with?

SF won by 2 goals. Smith kicked 7.
Can't believe we'll be seeing Nico back in the team, its been sooooo freaking long I can't wait!
Good to hear sampi is doing well for himself, maybe after this game he is even a chance of selection soon.

I was at the game and it was a really good game to watch.
Nicoski played pretty well and Sampi had his moments of brilliance.
It was an exciting game to be at.

There's nothing that says we can't pick him up next year... until then, I live in hope :thumbsu:

Couple of things...
1. Sampi looks ok, but still looks like he is carrying a bit extra!
2. Brad Smith would reallllly straighten the Eagles up well right about now :( ...blame demetriou and his bum buddy for that not happening!
3. Farmer looks good!!! Very dangerous, coulda had 8!
4. Nicoski and Graham will be much better for the runs, good games next weekend will star to put some much needed pressure on some of the other boys for the Saints Game!
5. Bring on Cuzzy @ East Freo in 2 or 3 weeks time! :D

As a side note, whilst watching that game, they put up results from the SAFL/VFL games. Guess who kicked 6? Doogs that`s who..peculiar hair and all.

thought graham was average. Sampi still a little bit under fitness for afl. But doing well and looking dangerous.
I rekon they will give nikoski another week at wafl level. He looked great, but better safe than sorry.
Brad smith....:( should be in the eagles team. Even if it makes us a little top heavy.. He can take the place for Huntaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and let him play back all the time. Hope we pick him up next year.
if doogs becomes a superstar.. i will buy a plane ticket, fly over to his house and smack him in the face until he cries. What an a$$hole.
if doogs becomes a superstar..
Hahahahahahaha
That game was on here in SA last night on ABC2 on Foxtel and I watched it and thought Sampi was non-existant!
Nico was ok in patches and Graham was lumbering.
Smith looked good.
You cant go off WAFL form.
Seriously, they said Doogs kicked 6 for coburg or whatever his VFl team is - As if he is EVER gonna do that in the AFL!

Apart from his 3 goals and two excellent run-downs you mean?

He wont play for the eagles this year - Hope he does, but he wont.
I hope he doesn't unless he lifts his form. He's not fit enough and not good enough ATM.

I'm from NSW and don't know much about the WAFL but have been watching it recently on Monday nights on ABC2 and i thought this was a great game and well done to Farmer and Sampi for playing a great game. but i don't know much about this brad smith guy and thought he played well and heard he kicked 11 goals for them the week before that game. surely he should be considered for selection and has he been selected before? if so, who for and what made him get dropped from the team (poor performance?)

West Coast had him on their list for two years but he unfortunately did his knee two years in a row and therefore never played a game for us. We applied last year for Smith to be put on our rookie list due to his injuries and the fact he had never played a game but the AFL did not allow it and therefore he was delisted.
Interesting to see if he gets picked up at the end of the year. Highly doubtful considering his age but you may never know.
