I'm not sure what the surface of the ground was like today, but it seemed to be pretty severely chopped up by the rugby last night and almost seemed to not quite bounce the same.

The WAFC have raised the impact of a move to a new stadium operated by a third party on the two AFL clubs. My question is, why allow a game of rugby in the middle of winter the night before an AFL game? Surely if the WAFC are so concerned about their two clubs, they would want to ensure that Fremantle play on the best surface possible, and to me that is not a surface that has been chopped up by rugby players only hours before. Once again it appears that the WAFC have been blinded by the $$ and couldn't give a stuff about Freo.

Condition was pretty poor, I agree.

Amazing how many times the ball went right angles today on the bounce.

It was actually chopped up before the Rugby. I watched that last night and the surface was already shocking and I made a comment about it to my family when they were watching, saying we have to play their tomorrow.

My mate is a head green keeper of a golf course in Perth and he thinks that the grounds was the worst he has ever seen it. I asked him why it looked so poor and he thinks that it has been sprayed recently which really knocks the turk around. He said it should be better in a few weeks time.
