IMO there are 3 obvious inclusions and 3 obvious ommissions.

OUT: J.Walker, G.Ibbotson, M.Carr
IN: J.Farmer, B.Schammer, R.Crowley

I think Warnock should keep his spot. His ruck work today was superb. Next week will be a huge test against an impressive ruck department.

I agree 10000000000% rgauci, barring injury that should be our side for round 13.

I don't think the match comittee will drop M Carr.

I am also not convinced on McManus despite him playing well today. Not convinced on Peake either. Or Mundy (given his current form).

Keep Ibbo! You can't learn if you dont get enough of a chance.

You seem to have a bit of a beef on Mundy.. he's been one of our best players this year, whether he goes hard at the ball or not. I'd hate to see Buckley in our team cause you'd say the same about him, even though everyone knows he's a great player.

But who do you leave out? It would have been great if Ibbo had debuted a few weeks ago and got 4 or 5 games under his belt prior to Farmer, Schammer and Peake returning, but the young guys need to earn their spot or they end up like Polak and Mundy.

Are you kidding? This is the first time I've even remotely had a crack at Mundy. I honestly thought he would be the 2nd coming of James Hird at one stage.

And I defended him about 3 weeks ago saying I thought he had been good. But after listening to everyone on this board, I watched him closer and agree his intensity needs to lift.

He has the talent, poise, awareness and foot skills to be a top AFL footballer, but right now he has hit a wall... maily due to intensity and agression.

And Buckley? I would have loved Buckley here a few years ago... one of the greats.

Sorry must have mistaken you for someone else :o

I was making a point that Mundy isn't hard at the ball, that shouldnt stop him from being in the team, because it never stopped Buckley - who is also not very hard at it. Mundy has great foot skills and marking ability, enough to warrant a start.

Although he has been a contributor for the past 3 years or so, I think it's time to let go of Matty Carr as a starting player and blood some new guys like we did a few seasons ago with MJ, Mundy, Dodd etc. Yeah he has the odd good game, but consistency is the key, give some new guys a run and see what happens.

I generally agree with you except for the Buckley is not hard at the ball part. That is a myth. You don't become a champion by being soft.

The only thing with Mundy is currently, he is playing like 15th to 22nd best player when he has the talent to be in our top 5 consistantly. His drop in form to me is a worry to me and maybe a kick in the arse is what he needs to recapture his best.

And to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't drop him either but I am just disappointed to see his career stall like it is doing.... rather than him becoming an elite AFL player like I thought he would.

p.s. I think you were thinking of dominguez :p

Last week I was thinking it should be Macca, Ibbo and Walker to make way for the 3 ins but I've finally had enough of M carr, my changes for next week would be;

IN: Crowley
OUT: M Carr. Campbell emerg. in for Ibbo if need be.

You might be thinking of Dom. He seems to be on a bit of an anti-Mundy crusade lately.

but the young guys need to earn their spot or they end up like Polak and Mundy.

Mundy spent his first year in the WAFL and then was fantastic once he was promoted in his second season. How exactly would you have had him earn his spot?

Peake gives us line breaking runs. He looks to be coming into some form also.

McManus, surprising as it may come doesn't miss many targets. He hit Pav on the chest several times today.

Mundy when pushed forward was reasonably successful. I think if Parker hits a run of form, Mundy would be looking over his shoulder.

Today was the first time I saw Peake run at full pace since he came back, which obviously means he is starting to recapture some form. Personally I would have left him in the magoos for 2 weeks after his injury and then brought him in. Old veterans don't need magoos, youngsters do.

Yes, Peake does that, but just his decision making and disposal for mine is too unreliable. I would put him in our best 22 as well, but probably on the bench. I am just not convinced he will be the player we hope he becomes. But yeah, I am happy him being in the best 22 for the time being.

My issue on McManus isn't his disposal. I think his disposal is good.

And Mundy, well I just addressed my thoughts on him.

I don't think Peake has been fantastic, but I reckon we can't beat top sides without him in the team. And it's not like he's a liability (eg. D. Solomon).

Solomon is prone to doing a stupid thing here or there but I think he has been fantastic for our side. Leading by example in terms of tackling, and also presenting well at half forward.

Are you shitting me Peake was one of our better players today, he is comeing into the form he had last year. When he is in form he is in our top 10 players, same applies to mundy exept he was average today but he was playing foward so you can't ask to much from him.

When I have posted that I think Mundy should be dropped (and I still think he should be) it's not because I think he is crap. It's because he lacks urgency.

Has he improved since he made his debut? I don't think so, because AFL footy is all too easy for David Mundy.

Would we win less games if he spent 3 or 4 weeks at Subi? I don't think we would.

If Mundy goes back to Subi he'll realise that he has to work harder to be an elite AFL footballer. At present he's in cruise control, and even though he is still in our best 22 a month at Subi would be in the long term best interests of both David Mundy and the Fremantle Footy Club.

Macca's skills are pretty good. He usually hits a target and is a reliable shot for goal.

yeh just about perfect, i'm not sure who to kick out but Murphy is in our best 22 when he is in reasonable form, he might be competing with thorton for a spot.

I think Mundy suffers a little from the same thing Mark Waugh used to. He makes it all look so easy that people think he's cruising and not putting any effort in.

He seemed to put in a few good chases today. Any laziness (if there is any) should really be able to be coached out of him while he's in the team rather than by dropping him. And it's madness when people suggest we should trade him.

I think Johnson is your Mark Waugh, he makes it look easy but does the hard things when he has to. Mundy looks lazy because he is lazy IMO.

I thought Peake was OK today. But I'm not basing it on one game but it's more of an overall judgement. I like Peake but not completely sold on him just yet.
