I was semi-asleep while I thought of this but do you think that the Blues would be in absolute crap if Fevola hadn't started playing with us? Look at his performance over his career, then take that away. It's a big difference. He's like a gem sent from heaven. I wouldn't even want to think where we'd be without him. I know theres allways another forward, but we would never know where that other forward would be. Post your opinions.

Would be Fisher, Waite, Whitnall or Lappin. All would be fine really you just need to give them an opportunity. We have no lack of depth in our forward line

I know I know, but half the reason the likes of J-rod and the fish are as good as they are is because they see such a great guy in the Fev.

I reckon through te early 90's Saints fans had the same dilemma.......no plugger, no saints.

They did what can only be described as one of the bravest trades in history........never looked back (on that trade......not implying great success here).

Yes, its great he is on our side..........but make no mistake, if he goes or is out others will step up (as Waite did vs Hawks 2 years ago with Fev out suspended)........we would find other avenues to goal........Kennedy or Hartlett might step up, Edwards get a chance.........hopefully we won't need to find out too often for quite a while.:thumbsu:

haha exactly, allthough, if fev was injured or suspended in the near future, id be more interested to see how we function up forward without him.

Remember when he was injured against Kangas at Carrarra? We kicked about 3 goals straight. Last year when he was injured (same team) when he hyper extended his knee, Deluca stepped up and kicked 3 in a half. That proves that almost anyone can step up if we need it. Carltons forward line is fine, make no mistake. Its our back line that lets us down. 2nd highest score FOR in the whole comp (behind Geelong) and 2nd highest score AGAINST (behind Richmond). Forward line = No problem

I was going to mention that exact game. That game has always stuck with me. Ever since then, ive always thought this (not just because of his good form of late), but i reckon Waite would have been a great full forward. Showed on that day what he could do. Nonetheless im stocked we've got the best full-forward in the game, with Waite aiding him aptly

fish and waite would be fine together 3 goals from them each and contributions from eddie lance skinny and other people
