There has been speculation that Lappo's going to retire at year's end... but IMO i don't think he will, and I CERTAINLY HOPE HE DOESN'T because realistically this year he has been one of our stellar performers and i would be sad to see him go if he does decide to retire.
Thoughts on this.....................

He hasn't been one of our stellar performers at all.
He has been solid, with one very good game. His decision making/skills seem to be letting him down a bit.
Might retire at the end of the year. It's either this year or next.
looks like he is enjoying footy again (the last couple of weeks) which is fantastic because he has a been great for our club. You get the feeling that he could play again next year. You can almost sense that the commentators will say "Lappin is the type of player who can play on into his 30's"

Is having a better season than last, and has played some very good games. If he maintains this form, he'll likely continue for one more season.

Bit harsh J? i think he's had 2 or 3 very good games. He played really well against Essendon IIRC, and then played another real good game against the Kangaroos maybe (i forget), where he got 20-30 possessoins?

as long as he is putting in good solid performances and he is enjoying playing footy then he will stay on. Pagan seems happy enough with his performances so Lappin will be to.

i am a family friend of his and he was adament that he was to retire at the end of the year. however with this recent wave of form he is considering to continue on, granted this isnt just a patch we're seeing right now and he continues it thru the rest of the yr
Would like to see him go on for one more year. His form has been pretty good over the past couple of weeks, and he certainly gives our forward line more potency when he is up there.
Also, becuase we are a little lacking in the experience department, and the impending retirement of Kouta at years end, should be enough for Lappin to get a one year deal at seasons end.

Definately should go round again. We need SOME experience at the club.
Played very well against Bombers and WB, and has been good in other games (was about the only forward working hard vs WCE IMO).

I've always loved skinny lappin and i hope his body does give him one more year but i suspect this could be his last, the younger defenders are trying to run off him to expose his older legs, although he's a smart performer and possibly could carry himself one more time
