Thought this may interest all of you M&M haters and all of you out there who think we have too many yougn kids playing.:)

But Malthouse said none of his more experienced backmen was expected to return for Saturday-week's clash with Sydney at Telstra Stadium and any additions to the side would be more youngsters called up from VFL affiliate Williamstown.
"I thought (Williamstown) again produced some fantastic young players who have got great form," Malthouse said.
"Are they backline players? Not many of them, unfortunately, we'll just rejig it and that's life ... You've just got to cope with what's thrown up at you.
"I'm a firm believer in this - the blokes that are sitting in the grandstand do not win you the game of footy.
"I've got to focus on the blokes that are available."
Malthouse said he expected to make both forced and unforced changes ahead of what will be a crucial clash with the Swans.
"If it means exposing (more young players) to that furnace that we're going to get up in Sydney, so be it, and that's great preparation for the rest of the year," he said.
Malthouse said the rash of injuries in defence put the Magpies under pressure, but first-gamer Stanley, along with Goldsack and Toovey, would benefit from the experience and there were other reasons Collingwood lost.
"Let's get it straight, we came out here to win the game of football, you're not after pity because you lose a player or whatever the case may be," he said.
"We made too many fundamental errors. We can't give sides six-goal starts and then miss goals that should be kicked or (fail to) stop strategies of the opposition where they clearly were able to generate football from ... let's not let the boys off the hook."

It's true I think Goldsack, Toovey and Stanners would of learnt a lot today but if we are to be any chance to win against Sydney we need Clement or Rhyce Shaw back. Also Lonie would be a handy inclusion too.

Just wondering in that quote he talks about stopping strategies that the opposition were able to generate ball from, is he referring to the kick outs. Was amazed he didnt put outriders in the huddle, looked a simple coaching decision, not the players fault. Still rather MM than ND, despite ND being a better bloke, coach swap any time.
