"I'm just a bit of a decoy at the moment so other forwards have been stepping up. We've kicked 20 goals the last three weeks so it's very exciting."

I think Fev is suffering from his foot injury, hence the ordinary kicking and his agility wasnt too flash Saturday night. He is playing because Fev on 1 leg still kicks 2 goals, sets a couple up, takes the best defender (2 or 3 against him in a contest leaving crumbers)... He will be back after the break 100% I reckon:thumbsu:
What a legend of a bloke he is though.:D

great heis happy with wat he is doing for the club and not being down in confidence
It's a bit of a bluff. He was clearly struggling with his foot injury - could hardly run or get off the ground. Hopefully the Hawks will fall for it and leave him one-out on Croad. :)

I agree Parrot, just a bit of deflecting going on!

I don't think it is the injury.
They are bombing long to Fev when they can but he has never been a great pack mark, and last weekend he jumped a fraction too early a few times.
It is great we have other goal kickers now.

I disagree, I think it is the injury and he is playing as a decoy. They are kicking long to Fev because he's not leading as much because off his injury.
He did misjudge the timing of his leap on a few occassions saturday night though.

A 100% fit Fev always jumps early, uses his superior vertical leap to get a good ride up to meet the ball over 2 or 3 defenders and pull it down in a big pack.
Fev with a sore foot appears to jump early because he doesn't have the spring to get the ride to get to the ball just as it arrives over the 2 or 3 defenders.
On other ocassions he did get his hands to the ball and his normal vice-like dukes weren't holding on, perhaps wincing in pain on his way to the ball or distracted by the knowledge of how much pain he will experience landing on his foot is affecting this too.
No doubt Fev is not at 100%, and the timing of the Blues developing alternatve avenues to goals is working a treat -if he was pulling down all those pack marks and still converting 5-6 goals a game, how inclined would our midfielders be to look for the other options they have found in recent weeks?
Like Carazzo/Walker/Murphy stepping up after Stevens' injury, Carlton's recently discovered Plan B in attack is another negative we have managed to find a positive in this season.
Well done Blues and get better Fev, we miss your big bags.

He's been injured for a while. Against the dogs he was very reluctant to stretch Morris on the lead.
At the moment the major service he's providing the team is to take the best defender and free up the other forwards.

Were proving were not a one man goal kicking side unlik alot of others are. I don't think Fev's, too worried about the coleman Medal since he already won it last year or he'd be trying to kick more goals then he has latly who knows 2nd half of the year he might get his kicking boots on. Pitty we only Play Richmond once :) if we had Played Richmond this time we'd kick Higher scorer then last time and Straighter.
Hoping we kick another 20 + goals again and not to kick too many pts play same as against Port thats what won it for us.
we seem to Play Well against Hawthorn anyway. :)
if we can Beat Port can't see why we can't beat Hawthorn
we could be starting a long Winning streak lets forget how to Lose .;)
if We can beat top sides we're in for a show with plenty of rounds left who knows lets get as close as we can.
If we make bottom spot in the top 8 it be a bonus but if we just miss out on 1 or 2 games thats a job Well done .:)
keep this up and we'll see less Delistings end of the year :)

I reckon that it is the injury that is affecting his run and leap to take marks which is in itself not to bad because he always draws a couple of defenders when he gets near the ball and that always leaves a couple of our other forwards free...
Eventually other teams are going to realise this and start leaving Fev one out with a defender and suddenly he will explode and kick a bag...
Having the defending Colman medalist isnt such a bad thing for our other forwards ;)
