Why the interest? You also seem to be interested in the Dockers as well.

Is there something wrong with being a Freo and WC fan?

Figjam runs his own site, and likes to keep up to date with every sides younger players.
Anyway, McDougall played his second game for Perth on the weekend, and was one of their best players.
Apparently he played mainly in the ruck, with a few stints up forward.
Not bad considering he missed six weeks with a bad ankle injury in the pre-season.
Also pretty good considering he's a hack and struggles to get a game in the WAFL, eh Sabre?
I'm keen to see Quentin Lynch in the WAFL. He has been outstanding this year at FB. Anyone seen him play?

On the TV yes. I wouldn't say he plays fullback, he plays all over the ground really. Pretty good prospect though and I would say that he will get promoted at the end of the year.

Anyway, some of his WAFL perfomances:
Round 1:
9 disposals (6 kicks 3 handballs)
3 marks
Ok, so this wasn't his best performance. I think he got injured during the match but can't remember.
Round 2:
Didn't play but West Perth (his team) did.
Round 3:
20 disposals (14 kicks, 6 handballs)
7 marks
1 goal, 1 behind
3 tackles
Was named as one of the best players on ground. This is the game where I watched him and he looked pretty good.
Round 4:
22 disposals (21 kicks, 1 handball)
6 marks
1 behind
1 tackle
Again, one of the best on ground.

He was an all-australian last year and we were probably lucky to pick him up in the rookie draft. Anyway, he looks a prospect.

Any chance of lynch being promote for this season? He'd be great to have as backup for Milli (currently Mill's backup is Carroll and Harding, lol).

We could...
BUT
Glass takes over when Milli isn't around and so does Jakovich. Gaspar could also be tried. Hunter's height is also handy in defence. He isn't really needed in defence as a tall as we have that area covered. He could be promoted as a forward option though. When I saw him play, he was basically a 191cm/100kg midfielder which was pretty impressive. I would wait till next year to promote him.

Yes - this year and last (I am a West Perth fan). The first thing is that he is huge. Very big and strong physically and somehow manages to run too. We think that this year the message has come down for him to kick long more often as every time he gets it he wellies it.
We discussed last year whether he would be drafted and thought it was line ball, but probably not. Certainly has a lot of learning to do, keep his weight under control and will have to cope better mentally under pressure. Time will tell.

Bunsen Burner...in answer to your question re both the eagles & freo and why i'm interested...as real buzz has said...i'm interested in younger players as i've been in a stats comp with some mates of mine since 1995 and u win by drafting the talent before it becomes obvious how good they are, etc.
I am an eagles fan, but have mcdougall, hunter, pavlich, longmuir, croad, polak on my list as future fwds and i'm just wondering how they're going, etc.

McDougall
Heard in the car on the way back from Subi that he got 2 points in the 321 BOG in the Swans v. Perth WAFL game today.

I taped the Perth v Swans match yesterday.
McDougall was very impressive in the first half.
Took a few strong marks, lead smartly, put in terrific second efforts at ground level, and unlike Gardiner he can actually kick a very good drop punt.
Amazing athleticism and he's definitely going to be a player for our club.
Can't say the same for Dion 'What A Champion' Woods.
His younger brother was much better.

Hopefully he'll debut soon, because if this kid can become as goos as he was being touted a year ago, than we could well have some of the best talls in the future. Glass, Gaspar, Gardiner and McDougall could form a formidable spine. Add to that Cousins, Kerr, Wirra and Judd in midfield and we will have a damn good team. The good times are comin :D
Yep, played quite a good game today, especially the 1st half. Not bad considering this is only his second week back after an injury. I think he could possibly be challenging to get in the team (not that he's needed at the moment) by Rd 10 or 11, depending on injuries.

Anyone know how he went this week? And how long till he debut's? Cause before the 2000 draft, he was tauted as being just as good(or close to it) as Kiscitzke (sp??) and Reiwoldt. I can't wait till he plays.
Personally, i dont think McDougall will play this year.... i think the club is looking at ensuring he bulks up enough to handle the body contact of AFL before introducing him
We also have other players competing for his position like Cox, Siera, Tuckey who are probably all ahead of him for selection (this year at least)
Don't think he played on the weekend. He plays for the Demons in the WAFL and although they played this week, he didn't.
And no Sabre, he wasn't playing for the reserves either. After a BOG performance last week they are hardly likely to drop him are they? My guess is that he's injured again.

Story of his short career.
Get's some good form going at WAFL level, and then suffers another soft tissue injury.
Apparently it's a slight hamstring strain.

the answer to all his problems is to get some bloody meat on those bones.
