Round 7 Vs Geelong: 5.4.34 to.0.4.4

Round 9 Vs Hawthorn: 7.1.43 to 1.3.9

Round 11 Vs Essendon: 6.2.38 to 3.1.19

Our 3rd quarters in our last 3 away games have been the main reason for our losses - At half time of these games we have been in front, down by a bit or level.

Just an interesting stat I found - thats all.

Good stats Cuz.

Something Im sure the WC committee would be looking at.

I know its a home game but watch for a big 3rd qtr v Saints in a fortnight. :thumbsu:

You can add 0.4 to 3.3 against the Swans and 2.3 each against the Tigers.

The Kangaroos also won the third quarter against us and Melbourne kicked the first 3 goals of the second half.

Looks like half time is being used for a bit of a Nanna nap.

cheers - lets hope so.

Home games dont seem to be the problem though.

Even in round 1 we were outscored 3 or goals to 0 and against Richmond it was 2.3 each.

Hopefully when the boys have their couple of games here at AAMI they can rectify the problem. :thumbsu:

I had a look at our quarter by quarter performances the other day too.

We have actually only won 4 third quarters this season, so its not just an away problem!

Its not fitness as we have won 7 last quarters. (Won 7 first and 8 second quarters). We have obviously won the last quarters by good margins as well as we have won 7 second halves (8 first halves).

So WTF is happening at half time that our team comes out and completely loses focus on the game?

From our 26 games last year we won 13 1st q, 15 2nd q, 16 3rd q, and 18 4th q. Something drastic has changed in the way we are approaching the game this year.

I suppose you could look at it positively in that we have probably won more 1st and 2nd quarters this year than last, but why the dip in the middle? It cost us the Hawthorn game and the Essendon game.
