Very good, well done to him. When watching him play I often forget that he is still only 19. Gonna be a star.

I wonder if he'll play out his career (position-wise)? He does well for us across half-back - but he has showed on numerous occasions (at least once on friday as well) that he can take a great contested mark - especially a 1-1 duel. With his accurate kick, I'd love to see him play in the forward line for us. Maybe even at full-forward with lynch at CHF?

Onya Hurny

i reckon he could win the award this year, but then again my judgement could be a little impaired considering he pulls on the blue and gold every week... :D

Anyone else reckon Hurn is a good shot of winning the rising star award this year?

Hope he plays in the midfield more. That will be his home. Gun

I don't know Embers

let Priddis, Butler, Rosa and those types be smacked around in the packs, Hurn is an offensive weapon when he is in space, much less likely to get tagged and will always have more room to do his damage.

half back is becoming a really really dangerous position, especially blokes who can pin point players 60m away and kick goals.

Delidio, Gibbs, Griffen, Hodge, malceski, kennelly & Goddard are seriously damaging when they get the ball off half back and can run with it. Hurn has shown in every game this year how damaging he can be running off half back and up the ground.

also add the fact that Hurn is a terrible set shot so i hope he doesn't play too much forward

Sure he could be great in the packs winning clearances but we have guys for that already in Judd, Kerr, Butler & Priddis

Nico, Hurn, Waters & Jones off the half back line is going to be great come september
