Surely the dream selection so many on this board have been screaming for will finally happen.
Out: Rooke (susp)
In: Callan
We can hope, but as long as Hunt is in the VFL he will always be chosen first.

Callan has been outstanding in the VFL. 5 times out of 9 games has been named in the best. Has been in the best for the last month.

I love Callan's desperation, but you're forgetting one thing. Rooke isn't a defender anymore, he's a midfielder.
It has to be Selwood. For one thing, he's just about the only guy in the seconds who played a decent game last week.

Agreed, but surely Selwood for Tenace would already be happening. Maybe even Prissa in for Rooke?

Selwood has to get a game going by his game last week . Prismal is a chance also but Selwood is the one that has to be promoted

No Tenace wont be dropped for one bad game especially after his last few games before that we're his career-best. I think u guys should learn u dont drop players after only one bad performance.

No Tenace wont be dropped for one bad game especially after his last few games before that we're his career-best. I think u guys should learn u dont drop players after only one bad performance.
If Tenace's game against the saints was one of his best, then his career is in more trouble than I thought...
He's really only played 2 good games out of 7 and they were against teams that put no pressure on us. When there's pressure, he goes missing and/or coughs the ball up worse than usual..

I hope it is Selwood or Prismall. Hunt seems to be out of favour and Tim Callan is unlikely while Bomber calls the tune. Dream on.

If Tenace's game against the saints was one of his best, then his career is in more trouble than I thought...

Must say the only thing in Tenace's favour is his speed and I dont think that is enough to keep him in the side. He may get one more chance , not sure but while guys like Selwood and Prismall and even Hunt are langishing in the 2's it just doesnt seem right
TBH I think all 3 (Selwood, Prismall and Callan) are a good option. The only question will be on who could deal best with the negative tactics Brisbane will use, because I can't see them try to keep up with our running game ATM, and the best option they will have is to try to shut down the game and restrict our scoring.
I know there are some who have issues with Hunt, but IMHO his long kicking style could really suit us in this situation. All he would have to is back himself to have a good game.

Callan is a hack, gutsy but still a hack.
I respect his courage but he isn't up to the AFL grade.
Hunt should come in for Rooke.
Failing that Selwood, Prismall or even Byrnes.
If Callan plays this year it is a sign that the season isn't panning out as well as one might think right now. He is nothing more than a competent seconds player, good backup for a lengthy injury list.

I wouldn't mind seeing Prismall and Selwood in for Rooke and Tenace. Both hard at the contest and both have better than average (and better than Tenace) disposal.

I dont like losing the pace but tenacne doenst show us the pace too often

I don't know about the call for getting rid of a tagging midfielder for Hunt who is a defender.
I think Prismall or Selwood should get the run.

VFL apprenticeships are for players who are inconsistant or unable to play extended periods at the top level.
Neither describe Selwood so far, so why keep him out? He would be perfect to bring in for Rooke.
I dont understand everyones obsession with Callan, but Rooke as said somewhere is now a midfielder, Hunt and Callan are primarily defenders (although Hunt did well up the ground against Port).

Not sure. If they take any notice of form they won't pick Hunt - he didn't do a lot in the seconds. Selwood on the other hand did, and I would put him in for Rooke without any hesitation. I still suspect that might be the only change.
Just my own thoughts but I still wouldn't mind Hawkins getting a run to really stretch Brisbane's backline. Could take some pressure off Nathan Ablett also. Who to drop for him is the big question of course.

Callan's game in the VFL was pretty ordinary, I though - got the impression that under coaches orders he wasn't attacking it as he usually does. Selwood was our best player, put him back in.

Exactly. Selwood was a class above the rest of our magoos on the weekend.
Also, for all of those that keep pressing for Prismall to replace Tenace, please note that Tenace plays as a rebounding defender, not a midfielder like Prismall. That is why Pris is not going to replace him. Sorry for having to resort to common sence but it's gone on too long. I really had no choice!
