View Full Version : Cool Bands Ya Don't Have?

With the exception of 'Jack & Diane' I like just about everything written by John "Cougar" Mellencamp. It's really not my style, or rather I wouldn't cover any of his stuff.
Still, whenever Mellencamp comes on the radio, I crank it up. This evening as I was meandering to work, I did just that. Then I realized I don't have a single Mellencamp CD in my collection. Strange.
Anyone else have a band you really like, but for whatever reason, have never bothered to add any of their stuff to your stable? Or....am I just a freak? :D
Peace,

The song of his that I like most is "I Need A Lover.." with the guitar solo at the start. Great idea.
The only artists I don't have CDs of but love their stuff, would be At Vance and Amboy Dukes. Have downloaded heaps though, and only failed to buy them because of (non) availability. Amboy Dukes CDs are all deleted according to local retailers, and there is never any At Vance where I shop either but I could probably order it in from Germany.

Me neither! :(
Or Nine Inch Nails!!! :(
Given I p*ss all my money up against a wall, this is actually rather predictable!
Pixies, Jefferson Airplane, Beatles (though my folks have them all), Tom Jones, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, (geez, getting depressing! Must shop),
Mainly cause I never remember what I'm after when I go into a music shop, always get distracted by other stuff, like new releases. Pearl Jam and Nirvana I heard ad nauseum when I was younger, so I don't really feel like I need to own the cds. And you hear them on the radio heaps too.
I have no Led Zepplin but lately I am pretty much spellbound when they come on Music Max (Foxtel).
I will get around to buying their collection one day.

Ummmmmm not that I can think of. Only Badfinger, but I bought their greatest hits a while ago. :D
A few people know my rants on the greatness of Pete Ham. :D

Jeez 35eye, that's like not being a member of the NMFC,
not good at all. tsk tsk tsk
Pick up REMASTERS, the 'best of' double CD ...you won't be dissappointed. Sounds great after Join in The Chorus!!! :D
