Interesting and good comment in the paper from him yesterday.

“When I try kicking too far, they never come off. It’s all about timing,” he explained"

"It’s the same as golf. If you try to smack it, it goes nowhere.”

Two comments from Hurn alot of our players should have a think about. Lynch doesnt time the ball at all. He just tries to punt it as far as he possibly can. Same can be said for alot of our players. Apart from Hurn and Hansen not one of our players really knows how to kick at goal properly. Maybe Hurn should give them all kicking lessons

Interestingly enough, Lynchy kicks it further when he doesn't try to roost it. And more accurately. Goes to show that kicking woes are pretty much mental.

Oh, and watch for Hurny to be let loose around half forward later in the year. I have a feeling he's been giving stopping jobs with occassional long bomb cameos, so he can be saved for some impact comes finals.

Well said by Hurn. Holds true for a lot of sports e.g. golf as Shannon mentioned, cricket, baseball, tennis etc.
