They should have done it earlier and played him this week. Can't see him getting a run after the break unless Hasleby, Josh, Bell or Crowley get injured or suspended.

I was talking to a WC supporter just a couple of weeks ago and he was bagging the likes of Tarrant and Sollie. Reckons we are to slow and we had no-one coming through with pace and should have traded for some speedy midfield type players.
I told him I was very happy with the trades we had done and that we had a few speedy youngsters waiting in the wings such as Foster and Ibbotson.
He said he had never heard of them and laughed when I told him Foster wasn't on the senior list yet but would be soon, and Ibbo would get a game in the near future.:D

An eagles fan that knows nothing about players from another club? Well knock me down with a feather.

If you got that much time to waste you should be around to cut my lawn. You'd get a much better discussion, a free beer or two and the feeling you'd done something really worthwhile.

Contrast that to the feeling you were left with talking with one of the Eagles more knowledgeable fans.

I'll expect you at 11 tomorrow.

Good news, Like Imperial I have seen Foster and Ibbotson play some games for EF and knew they would get some chances sooner rather than later.

Round 15 is apparently the deadline for promotions to the senior list. He is not listed as an emergency for this week (Cook, Ibbotson and Parker?) so he cannot play in Darwin but he may well play against Carlton the following week I reckon. McManus, Bell and Cook as midfielders are close to the end and the trio of Schammer, Foster and Ibbotson should be able to step up nicely next year (although Belly is not going to be easily replaced).

Lake of pacey players comment comes up all the time from ignorant commentators as well - like during the Geelong game where they said we had none on the list and didn't look like introducing any this year.

But hello players out for that game were Schammer, Farmer, Browne, Peake and in the wings we had ibbotson and Foster. That list of names is no bunch of snails....

Yep, good on the young fella. Will be interesting seeing how he goes at the higher level of AFL. From what I've seen he doesn't mind getting into the thick of it.
